The Eight O'Clock Train (Patreon)

Mariana ran down the sidewalk with her heart pounding, The watch on her wrist read 7:58 AM. Two minutes. Just two minutes before the red Line train would depart from Central Station.
When she rounded the corner, the platform was already empty. The train, with its gleaming silver and red cars, was beginning to move slowly, pulling away from her as if mocking her effort.
No! she cried out, stopping with her hands on her knees, gasping for breath.
The train whistled once, a shrill sound that on any other day would have seemed melodic. Now it sounded like mockery. Mariana felt the blood rush to her face, not just from the exertion, but from humiliation. How dare it? How dare that heap of metal and unknown humans leave her behind, make her late, ruin her day before it had even begun?
Something inside her snapped. It wasn't just frustration. It was something deeper, darker, more... powerful.
If I can't get on the train... she murmured, lifting her gaze with a smile that didn't reach her eyes... the train will get on me.
She extended her hands and the air around her began to vibrate. The train, which had already been pulling away down the tracks, stopped moving. Not because it had braked, but because it began to shrink. The cars compressed, the wheels became tiny, the passengers inside screamed in confusion as their world reduced to an impossible scale.
In a matter of seconds, the entire train — five cars full of people going to work, to school, to their lives — was no bigger than a plastic toy in Mariana's palm.
Perfect, she whispered.
She slipped the tiny train into the pocket of her school skirt and walked toward a nearby alley. No one saw her when she pulled her panties down underneath the skirt, when she carefully placed the shrunken train against her skin, between her legs, and pulled the cotton garment back up.
The train remained trapped there, pressed against her warmth, motionless between her folds.
Walking turned out to be... interesting.
Mariana took her first step and felt the tiny weight against her. It wasn't annoying, exactly. It was... intimate. She could feel the rectangular shape of the train pressing gently, the rounded edges of the cars, and if she paid close attention — which she did, with a mixture of fascination and perversity — she could imagine the chaos inside those miniature carriages.
What are they thinking? she wondered, crossing the street with determined steps. Each stride made the train move slightly, sliding against her in response to her rhythm. They must be terrified. Confused. Where is the sky? Why is everything dark and warm?
A giggle escaped her lips.
This train left me behind, she thought firmly, squeezing her thighs slightly as she walked faster. The train slid upward, pressing against a spot that made her gasp discreetly. It humiliated me. It made me feel small and insignificant. And now... now I am their entire world. Literally.
She reached the main avenue and had to stop at the traffic light. While she waited, she took the opportunity to adjust the train's position slightly with a finger, pushing it deeper, making sure it was settled comfortably. She felt a faint hum, perhaps the train's motor trying to function, or perhaps just her imagination.
They're mine now, she thought, crossing when the light changed. All those passengers who ignored me, who didn't hold the doors, who simply continued with their lives while I arrived late... now they depend on every step I take. If I trip, they feel the impact. If I speed up, they get jostled. And if...
She squeezed her thighs again, harder this time, and felt a shiver that didn't come entirely from the absurd situation. There was something exciting about absolute control, about having the fate of hundreds of people — however tiny they might be — reduced to an intimate toy, a dirty secret beneath her school skirt.
