Hello everyone,

I’m going to completely change how updates are handled from now on.

Version 0.6.0 has already been announced to the public and will be released on April 2nd. However, 0.7.0 will not be released publicly before I finish 0.8.0. Going forward, I’ll be separating versions and keeping some releases exclusive for supporters who are investing in the project and believe in the game.

Why this change?

I feel like my supporters haven’t been getting enough in return for what they contribute. It took me months to finish 0.6.0, and I only made a few posts here during that time. That’s not going to happen anymore.

From now on, things will work like this:

  • The second latest version will be public

  • The latest version will be available to all members

  • Development version for Arcane Adept and Master Archmage

So what does this mean in practice?

Supporters will always be one fully finished version ahead.

For example: once I finish 0.7.0, it will be available only here until I complete 0.8.0 and start working on 0.9.0. When 0.8.0 is ready, all supporters will gain access to it, and 0.7.0 will be released to the public.

This means:

  • Supporters get access to the finalized 0.8.0

  • Arcane Adept and Master Archmage get access to 0.9.0 in development

Development versions will also be split into smaller chunks. For example, version 0.7.0 will include around 5 to 8 new quests and about 14+ animations. As I complete questlines and animations, I’ll release them incrementally so you can play, test, and give feedback earlier.

Since this is the first time doing this, I’ll make an exception:

0.7.0 development access will be available to all supporters.

Here’s how tiers will work:

Public:

- Access to the second latest finished release

Arcane Apprentice:

- Access to the latest fully finished version

Arcane Adept:

- Everything from Arcane Apprentice

- Access to the latest development version

Master Archmage:

- Everything from Arcane Adept

- Access to development builds with 5 days early access

Other rewards remain unchanged.

If you want exclusive art, more influence in polls, and your name in the credits, you should stay in the Arcane Adept or Master Archmage tiers.

Also, Arcane Adept and Master Archmage supporters nickname will now be automatically added to the game credits.

If you don’t want your name there, just let me know!

For those who don’t know, I have a full-time job and all the responsibilities that come with adult life and family. I use my limited free time to work on this project, which is why updates take so long.

This new structure allows me to share development with you, get feedback faster, and make things feel more fair for those supporting the project financially.

I also have ideas for other games beyond Mystic Lust, but making games takes time and with better tools I can speed up this process, my tools are pretty outdated right now:

  • A tiny Wacom tablet (I paid $20 for it)

  • Clip Studio Paint v3 (v5 is already out. I’d love to upgrade, but can’t afford it right now)

I would also like to raise funds to purchase Spine2d, to improve the quality of the animations.

Game development has become one of my biggest passions over the past few months, more than I ever expected. I catch myself studying art and programming concepts at the most random times.

I have several game ideas I want to create, and one of them already has its full gameplay loop designed on paper. But Mystic Lust is still far from finished.

So this year, I’m going to focus much more on this project and I’ll need your support to make that happen.

Thank you to all the new supporters, tomorrow we will have the first version of 0.7.0 with:

- New Herbology class

- New Scene with Planfada

- New Animation with Gabriella

- New animation with the enemy pyreelfo

- New animation with the enemy Lunetra

- New animation with the enemy Cervari
