Yeah the mom from this movie is just like my mom and the mom from boogie nights. Super strict religious. Went to a private Christian school because she thought id get into drugs if I went to a public school lol

Just finished the reaction. Yeah the movie definitely starts to slow down in the second half. My favorite parts are in the beginning when it first shows him meeting the band and hanging out with them and Penny Lane. After that, it does start to drag a little bit. But thanks for sticking with it. If you’re doing LOTR next, one movie recommendation I would have after (if you need one) is Pleasantville. Another comedy/drama but it has a fantasy element. I think you’ll like that one. If you liked the sister character and Penny Lane in this I think you’ll like Reese Witherspoon's character in that.

Yes! First half of the movie was def my fav! Penny Lane made the move for me haha! Second half wasn't bad but I def felt the time ticking by haha. Thanks for the rec! I'll look into it and hopefully get to it soon!
