Hey Licha it's very nice to see you reacting to GOT. I watched your first episode on YouTube and decided you are entertaining enough to join on Patreon. In regard to a couple of things you were wondering about ( spoiler free). A squire is a boy or teenager usually of noble birth who takes service with a Knight in order to learn from him. He cares for the Knights equipment and horses and in turn is taught how to fight, joust, and courtly manners with the expectation that he will eventually earn Knighthood himself. You were spot on seeing the connection between Jorah Mormont and Lord Commander Mormont. More will be revealed in future episodes. The men Cat addresses in the Inn are men belonging to minor houses in service to her father the Lord of the Riverlands. It's another of the original 7 Kingdoms that have there capital at Kings Landing. Ned Stark is Lord of the North which is the largest of the Kingdoms taking up almost half of the continent of Westoros. I was wondering if you've ever watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It's one of the best tv shows ever made and I highly encourage you to consider watching it here when you can add a new show. It has a very large fan base and every reactor who adds it has seen a pretty good bumb in the numbers of people subscribing on YouTube or joining Patreon. Just something to think about.

Her name is Daenerys Targaryen. Khaleesi is a title she got as she married into the Dothraki. Would be the equivalent to Queen. Just like Drogo is the current leader of the Dothraki people, so he is their Khal - Khal Drogo, so Khal would be the same as Chief or King - Khal (man) and Khaleesi (woman). The people Lady Stark called upon in the tavern are actually from families which are friend/allied to her original family before marrying Ned Stark. They are not northerners. That's why she mentions her father. Esquire would be the immediate helper of a Knight. He attends to a Knight's needs (helps him with his horse, sword, and on). And the bastard boy would be 1st in line to be king were his existence and origin to be known publicly, as he would be the oldest son.

Ooo good to know! So I should be calling her Daenerys! Cat knowing all the families and mentioning her father makes sense! She was probably raised around those families too! Also that’s TEA on the bastard borns… technically the next in line would be Gendry then.. he looks much older than Joffrey 👀👀

Actually bastards are not allowed to inherit in Westoros. That's one reason John Snow joined the Nights Watch since he cannot inherit any land or title from Ned. The exception is if a King signs paperwork legitimizing a Bastard he can take his father's name and can then be in line to inherit

Yep! That's why Ned got that "oh my God" look as he realized he was Robert's bastard. On a side note, if you allow me, I would just like to let you know that I have just pretty recently got in contact with your reactions through your youtube channel, as your Walking Dead s1e1 video caught my eyes. Needless to say I got instantly hooked as I loved the series when it originally aired and found your reaction pretty entertaining. Being a huge fan of Game of Thrones as well, I then decided just this week to join your Patreon too. So yeah, I find your reactions pretty fun to watch, your style, your curiosity, your facial expressions which are pretty cute and funny when you watch a shocking scene, and Trevor of course lol... I've been having quite a lovely time being able to re-watch these beloved series along with your fun reactions. I hope there are many more to come :)

In regard to the Houses, they’re all relevant and if you’re trying to keep track it’s probably worth writing down but you’ll pick up on them as you go anyways. Definitely some insanely juicy lore with all the houses. Specifically the Targaryen’s.

Yup, he's Jorahs' dad. He was Lord of Bear Island. But gave up his seat and joined the Nights Watch. His son Jorah became Lord but caught poachers on his land, and sold them into slavery, which was a crime. So Jorah fled across the sea. And yes you did hear the name Tarly. King Robert told a story about killing a Tarly soldier during the rebellion. Sam's father opposed Robert during the rebellion.

I'm a millennial and you are one of the very few content creators I watch/listen to that is Gen Z. Its fun hearing and learning this new slang. I've heard you use the word aura several times and had to look up what it meant haha.

Its been a while since I read the books but I'm pretty sure bastards are included in the line of succession but the oldest bastard son is behind even the youngest trueborn son. So the blacksmith Gendry would be behind both of King Robert and Cersei's sons but would come before King Robert's brothers.
