Bran, pour one out for Hodor

Dresdon

I love Arya but not a fan of how her character completely changed into a different person in one episode. Similar to Bran its like shes not even herself at all. They tried too hard to make her the badass and lost all her character development IMO And dont even get me started on Bran lol

Michael West

I think this set the record for most stunt men on fire in an episode. The tension between Arya and Sansa is interesting. Not a huge fan of the changes in Bran’s character. The apathy towards Mera was unnecessary in my opinion. Like you said in your intro, things are starting to feel rushed. Still, on its own a very entertaining episode. I like that you caught Bronn’s panic. He knew that they were cooked (no pun intended). That battle scene was crazy epic. Let me say again, absolutely love your reactions.

This comment doesn’t seem necessary unless she’s already seen how her character develops through the end of the show. You’re just setting up expectations for her for future episodes. No one cares what you thought about her character or Bran

To be fair they utilize boats a lot more in this season when prior there was a lot more walking /horse and carriage. Lets ignore the fact they aren’t motor boats lol

Justin Serwinski

While I’m looking forward to your continued positivity (especially since you’re trying to combat the negativity you e encountered), I’d actually prefer you air out any grievances you find yourself developing. Maybe not as they happen but before/after episodes? Either way I’m excited for the rest!

Louis

I forgot about the characters teleporting in the later seasons 🤣🤣

Mike Smith

it always gives me OCD at how the river there in the end goes from standing on land, to being 50ft feet at like 4 feet off the water edge. =P

Mel

Your face when the episode finished was brilliant LOL!

You know season 7 has a lot of plot holes and confusing sometimes but man the highs in S7 is phenomenal. It’s only considered bad because of how peak the show was previously but it’s not a bad season. First 4 episodes is on par with a lot of seasons 6 and 5!! Just the writing isn’t as good! This episode specifically had one of the best war moments in the whole show!!

WanderingBecauseLostLol

I think you're entering each episode wondering if "this is the one" when you'll notice the definitive moment of writing going to poop, but you might find yourself at the end of the series still waiting for it 😂. I'm not saying it's all good in these last couple seasons, but there is still a lot of enjoyable content in every episode through the end, and for some of us it's really when you step back and look at the series as a whole when it's really like "ah, yea it did fall off didn't it". I still enjoyed the rest of season 7 and 8 as a whole minus a few nitpicks and one or two bigger "excuse me what?" moments - and maybe you will find that to be true for yourself too. Glad you are still enjoying the series as well!

How dany and her army got to Jamie isn’t weird for me because they were in dragonstone and Jamie was just outside kingslanding and we know dragonstone is close to kinglanding soo it wasn’t that far! Specially for dany with her dragon. The army yes a little more but no more then a few hours on a horse back. This should not count as one of those weird teleportation in my eyes personally! Or am I wrong?

TallTyrionLannister

If you look at the map, Dragonstone is very close to Kings Landing and the Blackwater Rush (where the battle was fought). So I think the Dothraki and Dany getting there so quickly is the one fast travel moment you can excuse 😂

Alexander Ocean

BRO the shot of Drogon flying alongside the Dothraki always gives me full boy chills!!!!!

Dae

The new show will probably spoil you for House of the dragon, since it’s set afterwards and is bound to reference events from it

flawlessmisery

pull up a map of westeros and see how far Dany and the dothraki would've had to sail to get to highgarden lmao s7 is egregious with the teleportation

bard

she went from dragon stone to near the black water rush. Would take a couple hours on dragon back but the dothraki would take at least a day to get from dragonstone to where ever their ships landed.

Charlie

They weren’t at highgarden

Mari

lmao the timeline of this season and season 8 is “fuck it”

Charlie

Because all the characters are starting to come together and lots of storylines ended at the end of s6, theres a lot fewer storylines to follow, combined with the reduced number of episodes everything is progressing very quickly. I feel like thats where most of the problems in this season come from. I dont think there’s a lot to worry about story-wise and theres loads of great scenes, but they do leave a lot to the viewer to make sense of.

Agreed! These last two seasons are still good television. I think for those that watched as each season/episode was released, it was a hard watch. However, for those that are coming in years later and either binging the entire show or watching several episodes at a time with no year-long breaks between seasons, it's a much more enjoyable experience and they love the last two seasons. Folks that watched in "real-time" (myself included) had a lot more time to theorize with friends and co-workers, research book lore, and pick apart storylines and production––the level of expectation was higher. I was certainly disappointed but on later rewatches and watching first-time reactions, I've come to appreciate season 7 and 8 a lot more. Not gonna lie tho, there are times during season 8 I still cringe and get pissed but I still love it. This is my favorite show.

Itss_NattyJ

It's the reuniting of families and friends, the blending of different groups and storylines that I never thought would be in scenes together for me. Some great moments.

Yes Jamie being crafty is not Tyrions fault but they are losing because Tyrions strategy isnt working at all she is right to be angry with him but i agree with you she cant control her temper very well

Robert Baratheon: “Only a fool would meet the Dothraki in an open field.”

"Imagine John just carved those himself" yo I love this girl 🤣

The younger of the the 2 guards is Eddie Munson in Stranger Things.

Kieran Newman

This isn't one of them though. They are literally based near them

Dang I never even put together how much time passed outside of Dragonstone while Jon was there. Fast travel has been officially unlocked! I wonder what kind of stuff you will notice on your first watch that I've missed on multiple watches. I will continue to be a negative Nellie about the plot holes (not sorry!) but I must say watching with you the first half of S7 is more enjoyable than I remember. Yes there are criticisms (big ones!) and I know I'll mention one when I get to the end of this episode but there is still a lot to enjoy as well. I need to try and focus on the good things more I think. I'm gonna try at least lol. Edit: oooh man this is gonna be tougher than I thought lol. Arya vs Brienne is....🙄. Arya hasn't trained with a sword properly since season 1 and that tiny thing cannot deflect blows from a longsword. It's just fanservice....but the battle at the end was good stuff. Really cinematic. I think Bronn acted out of character by not running. He wouldn't fight the Mountain but he'll fight a dragon and a horde of Dothraki? It was a visual feast though!

My_Cousin_Mose

Licha: The Iron bank is so weird. Me: I dunno it seems to operate pretty much like JP Morgan lol.

Engaging in meaningful and substantive criticism of a narrative piece of work is not negativity.
