MKF1004

White Walkers got the chains from Hardhome Depot, but the scene got cut. Think it might have been a Blu-ray extra for Season 7 😜

qweXz

Sansa's bragging is ridiculous💀 The Vale rode in because Littlefinger already discussed it with Robin and manipulated him. Littlefinger would have come anyway because he had his eyes on Winterfell. Sansa did next to nothing🥀

Trevor80

The Sam theory sounds like a book theory, just never seen a video on it

JH__

lmao i love how stressed you were during the Sansa/Arya convo

Mari

where we left off in the book sam had left castle black and there is theory of timeskip somewhere between where we left off and the last book it is most likely he will stay i do get why they had him leave in the show his purpose is to find things abt ww and theoretically in the show its coming sooner than later. but i def think ur on to something to get a valyrian steel chain link u have to practice magic until u admit that it isnt real thats what basically maester luwin had said in histories and lore and he told bran the same thing. so the maesters are biased against magic. if sam practiced magic it could be the thing to make the maester believe.

Licha Reacts!

I haven't heard any of the book theories yet! Happy to know I'm not the only one thinking that though!!

Mari

agreed but it makes sense he said in the beginning he wanted to be a wizard. the only part shes confused abt is that the only way for maesters to get the valyrian steel link is for them to try magic until they admit it doesnt exist

Bugg

Shortly after the annulment i believe the whole war with Robert started and elia was at court and thats when the mountain and his men R and murdered her and her children. Could be wrong

Mari

i disagree littlefinger knows how to play his cards right if cersei called on him instead of sansa he wouldve gone there but sansa called on him and the vale is pledged to the north and to jon for robyns cousin sansa. his ultimate plan with sansa before was for her to marry house bolton stannis kills the bolton leaving sansa a widow and the lady of winterfell and he marries her littlefinger doesnt get the north without Sansa

Ambrosio Sanchez

tbf to the show writers we've already had a 200 YO woman give birth in this show

JJ

I always wished that Rhaegal was the one to go back and save Jon, I feel like it would have been really poetic given his ancestry. Also Viserion dying always makes me cry :(

Dresdon

Darker hair is almost always dominant so thats the only reason he doesnt have blonde. Its happened a few times in their history, someone with targ blood but no silver hair!

Mari

yea but i also think certain traits are traits from a household in this world and certain traits can be mixed for ppl to inherit like prince baelon looking dornish while having targaryen eyes while his siblings look like valyrians. arya and jon looking like starks while the rest look like tullys (not bran in the show). the only thing for certain is that house baratheons seed is strong and hotd got that wrong 🤦🏾‍♂️

Josh M

Personally was not a fan of this episode. Their whole plan is so risky and it was not worth risking so many great fighters to capture a wight on the off chance that it'll convince Cersei to help.. The timeline is so messy, you can feel them rushing it. Gendry makes it all the way to Castle Black, sends a message to Daenerys, and she's able to fly all the way north of the wall in that amount of time? Like what were they thinking?

zulu

I always took Jorah's "and your children after you" comment as he doesn't just "lend it" to Jon to use, but forever forfeits its Mormont inheritance.

IcySystem

Cool Theory on Sam Would love to say stuff about it, but maybe this comment will remind me in the future when you're done with show and books.

Michael West

I always felt like the night king was planned for the dragons to come and that’s why they were waiting to attack Jon and the squad. He had the spears for a reason.

Itss_NattyJ

Yea, definitely not Jorah being a prophet predicting that Jon will have kids. 😂

Zensari

what makes you say dany can't get pregnant ? i don't remember that being said anywhere

Jose

Remember tyrion killed lots of people with wild fire. Never once did he show remorse. But once he sees his own guys getting burned, then it’s bad lol hypocritical much.

Jose

Also how can you be so flippy, floppy with Daenerys. Get excited when she helps but then judge her afterwards

Jose

At this point, make your pick already. Do you like Daenerys or do you only like when she helps the characters you like

Flexorcist

Targaryens and their bond with their dragons will never be understood… its a Targ thing.. and their incest.. well Cersei and Jaime copied that🤣. You know our girl Dany is smitten with Jon because Tyrion is saying the same thing but get scolded🤣 Well with Gendry, a smart hand would want a potential Baratheon heir near Jon to support his claim.. now that all legitimate Baratheons are dead why would you not want Gendry to meet Jon. And Westeros is a land of keeping tradition, they keep their swords even Cersei tries to look like Tywin, Jaime imitates all the great warriors and wanted their approval.. so Gendry creating a hammer for himself lines up with that

Flexorcist

I think its all planned.. iykyk.. the true villain

Vishnu Vatheriparambil Mohandas

Tyrion saying to Dany that they will go to King's Landing with all her armies and dragons so if Cersei pulls anything, they will burn the city to the ground. Didn't this same Tyrion was feeling bad in the last episode for obliterating the Lannister army and burning Tarlys? All of a sudden he's willing to burn down King's Landing with all its innocent civilians if Cersei tries to pull something on Dany? I just don't get what the writers are trying to tell about each character.

Jordan Clark

Yes it does. In the books and show it’s believed she was cursed to be barren by the woman who killed drogo

Mobius

Sam is a coward and useless. He is so fat that even the Night King would not want him in the army of the dead because he would slow them down in the season 2 finale. He is alive only because he has very thick plot armor.

Ryan Ryvenclaw

Listening to your intro, you have definitely tapped into the major problem with seasons 7 & 8: pacing! They had a limited number of episodes to tie up everything and it simply wasn't enough time to flesh out most of these stories.

Robert Anderson

You’re starting to understand why people fell out with the show at the end. Still a great show. Love your reviews.

IcySystem

Best reaction ever. Your comments are on point. "That's gonna take forever. Okay, bye Gendry. I'm fast a f*ck boi. Look at him go... Let's really hope our teleportation skills set in" "What are we doing and where the heck did we get chains from?" I know this is somewhat stupid, but couldn't they just kill someone slightly beyond the wall and wait for them to turn into a wight? Well maybe that doesn't work. Still, this whole plan is insanely idiotic. They want to convince Cersei with one undead zombie/skeleton? She has basically a necromancer with Qyburn in her employ and Frankenstein's monster as her personal bodyguard. You could argue, they don't know about Qyburn or that the Mountain is not really undead? I'd rather believe the one zombie is some magic trick, than believe in the army of the dead as Cersei. Anyway.... traveling beyong the wall, risking your lives for that to convince Cersei makes no sense at all to me. She blew up the sept. You don't make deals with lunatics and terrorists. You have Bran who seems to know everything, Arya seemingly the best assassin ever, Dany with 3 Dragons and you can't come up with a better idea? There has to be a better way of writing this. I'll always be mad about this 😂

IcySystem

The seed is stark, I mean strong. 99% of you surely know this, but perhaps I can blow one mind: Strong in german = stark

SpacePotato

The Tower of Joy is in Dorne, the place Ned goes to save her. When youre done with the show I think youd gain a lot of perspective on the lore by watching a video on the knight of the laughing tree 🌳 😎 its my favorite story in asoiaf

IcySystem

Did you not watch S2 E9 or did you forget? The moment the wildfire explodes, he showed remorse. He is shocked and probably disgusted by the joy on the faces of Joffrey and pyromancer Hallyne. The script reads: HAYLLNE smiles. TYRION is horrified.

IcySystem

Why wouldn’t she flip-flop on Dany? That’s kind of the point in a story with grey characters: you don’t give them unwavering loyalty. You reassess them as new information comes in and judge each action. "Make your pick already." Why? What's wrong with being conflicted? Isn't it much worse to choose one side with confidence with lack of information and then being wrong? There is no need to pick a side as a viewer until you feel confident in it.

IcySystem

They messed up a bit in the show. They cut Mirri's words short. Mirri says in S1 E10: "When the sun rises in the west, sets in the east. When the seas go dry. When the mountains blow in the wind like leaves." Those are the mentions of no children for Dany I could find. Dany S2 E8: They are my children. And they are the only children I will ever have. Dany S7 E6: The dragons are my children. They're the only children I'll ever have. Book difference: Minor spoilers here for the first book! Spoiler warning! “When will he be as he was?” Dany demanded. “When the sun rises in the west and sets in the east,” said Mirri Maz Duur. “When the seas go dry and mountains blow in the wind like leaves. When your womb quickens again, and you bear a living child. Then he will return, and not before.”

IcySystem

Yeah, looking at a map would really help. There are maps, that don't spoil anything. The books have a map as well.

IcySystem

Agreed. How long did they sit on that rock? Days? And don't these icy white walker demons usually "bring the storm" and the cold? Couldn't they just walk to the water, touch it and freeze it to the botton so the wights can cross earlier? Or was this all part of the plan and the NK knew Dany would come with dragons, so he could capture one like a Pokémon? He also didn't aim for Drogon sitting on the ground, but aimed for the flying-moving target much further away. What's up with that? Nothing makes sense this episode.

IcySystem

I would love for Sansa to be a cool competent leader with smart, calculated decisions, but that requires competent writers.

Lamasa

Jon's already dead, he's not gonna get hypothermia.

Funkystar

Well licha they have stated many times that Jon is born in the south and bran flashback with Ned is in dorne, also under the rebellion dorne was fighting with the targeryans bc rheagar was married to the princess of dorne and had children with her. Soo the south was the Targaryens were strongest. That’s why Robert lost to Sam father when he went to far south in his conquest. It’s been said many times but it’s alright we got you🤝🏾 the scene in S6E10 was lyanna giving birth in “the tower of dorne!

IcySystem

You act like the show told the viewer where the tower was. "It's been said many times?" When was it said? I can't remember one time. All your examples are vague hints at best. Born in the south, well... everything is south, when you live in the north. Bran's flashback doesn't say where it is. It looks like the south, but not necessarily like Dorne, the grass is greenish for example. It's a leap in logic to assume the tower was in Dorne, just because the Targaryens were strong in the south. They had other strong allies like the Reach, the Stormlands were under siege and parts of the crownlands could have been still occupied by Targ loyalists. Also seems strange by Rhaegar who is married to a Dornish to bring his new girl to Elia's homeland, wouldn't you say? The only mention of Dorne in this context was in S7 E5 by Gilly: "Prince Ragger," who remarried at a secret ceremony in Dorne.

Josh M

Yikes, I didn't even think about the Night King's storm. Hardhome established him as such a threat and here they literally stood there for hours. I DID notice how he straight up ignored Drogon, who was definitely a more logical target. Everyone there might've died if he did.

Abigail Buck

Brans visions of lyana giving birth, she was in the tower in dorne.. where ned fought the sword of the morning

My_Cousin_Mose

1st off- I love your Sam theory. Sam should be a wizard! I have nothing to add its a great freaking theory. 2nd- Go off Queen lol. 3rd- Ughh I cannot do this poorly contrived Arya/Sansa conflict again. 4th- Why doesn't Jon have Targaryen hair? I have a theory on that which I cannot wait to eventually discuss! and 5th- Ok I had a whole rant typed up but in an effort to not be such a negative Nellie I'll just say Jon's plot armor in this episode was equivalent to mithril full plate mail +4.

C. J. Ramirez

Arya was right on everything she said. Sansa wouldn’t have survived aryas life

William Rupert

As written, Sansa not telling Jon they had the Vale for back up cost them thousands of lives, and almost Jon's as well.
