KITTY!!!!!!

raine

i think this is my fav episode this season ive been waitingggg🫣

IcySystem

Daemon probably laughed because the Velaryon was using his speech to insult Rhaenyras children, when it should be focused on Laena. Laughing is a bit odd as a reaction. Maybe laughing in disbelieve or contempt for the pettiness... unsure about the exact reason.

IcySystem

Lucerys became Jon Snow there for a second: "I don't want it."

Burak Yağız

'Can you blame her?' yeah she went crazy and decided to maybe even kill Rhaenyra of course I can blame her. Like Alicent girl you think you are so righteous but you really are not. Still love her though she just can be so hypocritical sometimes and thats really annoying

bard

the other kids started the fight. Aemond just defended himself.

IcySystem

Dohaeras = obey Lykiri = calm Soves = Fly

Burak Yağız

well he really provoked them though there was no need for those agressive responds

bard

Sure he was rude but he wasn’t the one who escalated the fight to a physical confrontation

Vishnu Vatheriparambil Mohandas

It's really interesting that they reused the same soundtrack when Dany first rode Drogon while Aemond was riding Vhagar. And that episode's name was Dance of Dragons.

Matthew D

Why do people always say Aemond started the fight. He claimed the dragon and then they all ran up on him. He had every right to fight back.

Thina

He was the one who pushed Rhaena on the ground. But also, he was the one who escalated it into a life or death fight. He's threatening the kids saying "they'll die screaming like their father" while holding a rock above them 😭

bard

Rhaena attacked him. That’s why he pushed her down.

Cat Indigo

Rhaenyra could have a legitimate child... turkey baster.

Dae

No you’re spot on. Considering it was right after he mentioned their blood

Dae

Cats don’t have any concept of someone talking to a camera, wonder what he’s thinking during that intro 😂

Joseph LeRoy

I only have 4 problems with it. The shade filter they used was trash (did they learn nothing from the white walker battle), there was no blood on the blade after it cut Rhaenyra, they aren't doing justice to Daemons fatherhood because in the book he is a good father, and the Leanor reveal happening after the wedding made me enjoy the wedding a lot less than I would've. Daemon laughing at the funeral was to get attention away from Rhaenyra because everybody was looking at her due to the insults in Vaemond's speech. During the gathering we can see just as much tension between the kids as the adults which is very sad. This is mainly due to Alicent and Cole. We have seen them constantly talk bad about Rhaenyra and her kids in public and to Alicent's kids. We've seen Cole treat and train Alicent's kids better and more than Rhaenyra's. We haven't ever seen Rhaenyra say or do anything bad about Alicent's kids or say anything bad about her or Cole in public. The Daemon and Rhaenyra scene was great and needed (incest I know). We saw there was something between them in episode 1 and it's just built up since. The connection was clearly still there, now that they're both adults and both are grieving it was inevitable. The entire dragon scene was awesome but claiming Vhagar was a shitty thing to do to those little girls. After its rider dies a dragon chooses the next so Aemond didn't technically steal it. However, with Leana being the last rider her dragonless daughter should've had the chance to claim Vhagar before anybody else. Aemond doing it the night of Leana's funeral made it even worse. Aemonds anger and hatred along with Vhagar is going to be a problem lol. The fight between the kids was perfect. 2 girls with no fighting skills, 1 boy with some fighting skills, and a tiny boy with hardly any fighting skills vs. a boy who is bigger by like a foot and has more and better fighting skills (Partly due to Cole training Alicent's kids more than Rhaenyra's). You fight to win so cut that bitch lol. Aemond 100% instigated the fight and deserved what he got. They didn't just jump him. It was between Aemond and the dragonless daughter then her sister defended her then Jace defended his cousins and Luke defended his brother. Jace didn't pull the knife until his baby brother was getting choked and insulted and about to get smashed with a rock. Aemond hit Jace in the head with the rock and would've kept going if he didn't get cut. When you look at Alicent's kids vs Rhaenyra's you can see who the better parent is. The aftermath was perfect. This entire time Rhaenyra has kinda been on the defensive but this episode she went on the offensive. In Kings Landing she didn't really have anybody to help her. Leanor was kind of a party boy and even though he is a warrior he probably wasn't fit for the political scheming type of fight. Ser Harwin basically couldn't do or say anything because of his position on the totem pole. But now she feels like she has Daemon to back her up. So, she makes her first move by putting out her kids legitimacy. Knowing her father would be on her side on this topic. Every move she made was to make Alicent show the room her true bitter cunty self. Now word will spread about her true nature and if anything were to happen, she would be the first person they look at. Rhaenyra baited Alicent perfectly and now the king basically legitimized her kids and if he keeps his word will take any tongue who questions it. Alicent and her family are the only people in the realm making a big deal about Rhaenyra's kids. The king doesn't care. Leanor doesn't care. He claimed them, loved them, and raised them as his own. Corlys doesn't care because "history remembers names not blood" and his wife is kinda split but its only Alicent bitching, crying, and stabbing. The kids are just as Targaryen as hers. The entire exchange between Rhaenyra and Alicent just proves that her family is the true problem. She is basically mad because Rhaenyra gets to live how she wants, and she doesn't. She is angry and bitter that Rhaenyra's life is better than hers. Her bitterness is actually putting her kids lives in more danger because she is starting a civil war. Marrying Daemon and "killing" Leanor was the 2nd power move Rhaenyra made. They are a dangerous combo. They can make pure white hair Targaryen kids, Daemon is a proven warrior, they are both smart and strategic when needed, and now that Leanor is gone, they are both feared. She also sticks it to Alicent again too because she is marrying who she wants and out of love. She strengthened her claim, married somebody she loves, and still kept the alliance with the Velaryons because of Daemon's kids and hers by name. Plus, it helps that Alicent would be doing what was done to Rhaenys. Leanor got a good deal out of that because he wanted a way out but there wasn't one until now. He is free and can live how he wants with who he wants, I know I wrote a lot sorry lol.

Tax2er

"attacked" xDDDDD

bard

Yeah she went to grab him. And then they jumped him after he defended himself. That’s literally what happened. Maybe watch the scene again if you’re confused mate.

Tax2er

What else would you call his push of her to the ground? Without it Baela never punches him. Seems very like a escalation from Aemond.

bard

Yeah he pushed her off of him. That’s a result of rhaena escalating the altercation.

Tax2er

Omfg she wanted to grab him, call the police. Dude wtf. If anyone escaleted something here its obviously aemond. Verbally and physically.

bard

He isn’t the one who started the physical altercation. It was Rhaena. You clearly don’t know what you’re talking about. Bye.

Tax2er

Nono has nothing to do with him insulting Rhaena and then throwing her to the ground. Yeah you're right, he is an angel.

Joey Largehands

The idea that the best rulers are the ones that don't want to rule needs to be debunked. Ruling takes on a MASSIVE amount of responsibility. Whoever is put in charge should WANT to be in that position, because they will be aware of the task at hand. Obviously, not everyone who wants it are fit to rule. Likewise, just because someone doesn't want to rule, doesn't automatically make them any better. I've found this idea foolish all those years back and nothing has changed that. In fact, experience and life has made that thought even more foolish in my opinion. But it sounds cool, and people continue to parrot it. It was a silly argument in favor of Jon (who was my favorite show character) in GOT. Leadership skills, people management, communication, subject matter expertise and political shrewdness make a good ruler. Intention, self-awareness, morals and principles determine what they do with those qualities. Want (or lack thereof) has very little to do with it, yet faced with a choice between two fairly equally matched choices, I'd take the one who actively embraces the responsibility over one who doesn't want it.

Arkeves

Yeah believe it or not insulting someones mom doesnt give them a right to cut someones eye out

Arkeves

What would even be wrong with killing rhaenrya? According to westerosi law she is literally a traitor for having bastards and presenting them as legitimate heirs. The same reason robert would have executed cersei

ramon carter

I cant root for team green because Alicents sons are trash helena is the only good kid she raised Rhaenerya is the better mother also team green Otto Larys and Cristin Cole I cant root for

Joey Largehands

Rhaenyra is not the first female heir. And if a system is bad/wrong, then damn right fight to change it. Maintaining the status quo for status quo's sake isn't doing anything is it? At least in their case they have the power to enforce that change. That doesn't excuse the huge mishaps that Rhaenyra has made along the way though, which don't help her cause.

Joey Largehands

"I feel bad for him. At least Rhaenyra gets to be queen at the end of this." Spare a thought for every noble woman married off into another noble house or the royal family without a choice.

Joey Largehands

Good catch on the guy that Daemon killed. Probably the first reactor I've seen pick up on that immediately.

Jeffy G. Blum

Damn knives out in the comments already, y'all are crazy lol

Jordan Clark

I believe Daemon was laughing to draw attention from Rhanyra’s kids cause everyone was looking at them in judgement. Just my opinion though don’t know if that’s the case

Burak Yağız

Well she is not the king so the king says that they are legitimate

Itss_NattyJ

Aemond 100% started it. The kids didn’t know who took Vhaegar so they went to see who it was and Jace brought a weapon for protection. When they saw it was Aemond they were shocked and said “It’s you”, and he arrogantly replied, “Yeah it’s me”. He showed no empathy toward the girls and was a dick to the boys. Can’t say the boys deserved it because they previously teased Aemond—it was Aegon who was the leader in teasing him about not having a dragon and I believe the younger boys only went along with it out of fear of Aegon. Either way, Aemond incited that fight, chose violence and the younger kids followed suit. Unfortunate that it led to his eye being taken out.

SPACEZFAP

This is honestly when the show starts to go downhill, they show how ruthless Alicent can be but completely take that away from Rhaenyra by keeping Laenor alive instead of actually having him killed off like in the books!! Bias is insane.

Stephan Leukes

The book never explicitly states what happens to Laenor. Besides the book is an unreliable source. There are three different accounts for how Beesbury dies!

SPACEZFAP

Nope. it's very clearly stated in Fire and Blood by multiple accounts Laenor was killed by Qarl in broad daylight, with Corlys himself collecting his body

Ambrosio Sanchez

"and we sweep it right under the rug" cause it doesn't matter. everyone knew tommen and joffrey were bastards but the only one who cared was the person who could use it as an advantage, stannis (and now alicent). everyone else just got back to their lives. same with being a woman, when cersei became the "first" woman to sit the iron throne did you even mention it, or literally anyone in the show? we should stop pretending like any of this matters to anyone but the people who try to use it for their advantage.

Ambrosio Sanchez

the way you talk about alicent it is weird that you like her so much. you talk about her like she is a pawn in her father's game, which she is. but that is such a boring, weak character, which she is.

bard

Get a grip lmao

Beefi

No, not the same reason as Robert would kill Cersei. My goodness, it can't be that difficult.

Tronik485

Wow, the comments here really love to spoil things and impose their point of view. And people pay for this?😁 I will say that I love your reactions to this show. It's a very interesting perspective, and it's great that you don't rush to blame Alicent for all the sins, as most people do, but really look at things from the characters' point of view. And don't pay attention to Team Black, who says that Rhaenyra can have bastards and it's not a problem. It is a HUGE problem, and the show will explain why many times. Anyway, thanks for your videos, and here's something you should know: Alicent has FOUR children. The youngest son, Daeron, lives separately from the family in Oldtown. He was given to the Hightowers to raise as soon as he was born, so he isn't mentioned until season 2. But he exists, and he has a dragon too.

Matthew D

Agree to disagree

Kenny

Many people cared about Joffreys illegitimacy that’s why stannis/rely had so much support and large armies. When Cersei became the first woman to sit the iron throne it should’ve been mentioned that’s just an indictment on the writing of D&D

Kenny

I read about half but the fight take is insane. Aemond never instigated the fight. He responded equally to whatever was thrown at him. The other kids escalated

Kenny

Are you dumb? Aemond was attacked and responded with equal force. He said an insult and was physically attacked by rhaena

Kenny

There is literally 0 indication that she would call the “police” there was no crime. Even if that was her intention (obviously wasn’t) that’s still escalating a verbal altercation to a physical one

Travis

Oh hey Trevor!

Exodus Icaurs

Why do you defend Alicent so much? What business is it of Alicent that rhaenyras kids arent laenors? they are still rhaenyras who is the named heir, and as the King has repeatedly claimed, they are legitimate, whether they are or arent isnt up to her, at the end of the day its Viserys the King who has the final say, and he has made his position very clear. He knows they arent laenors deep down, the same way he knew that rhaenyra did "Something" on the night she left the castle, they are still rhaenyras though and thats what matters. Alicents obsession with their lineage is only to try elevate her own kids station, she already turning her own kids against rhaenyra and her children. Imo Viserys shouldve executed Alicent for attacking and stabbing his heir. Alicent is merely Queen Consort and is not related to rhaenyra like a queen would normally be to the heir, Rhaenyra outranks her as not only the heir but as a named heir (specifically named by the king as the chosen heir) As Queen consort all of Alicents "power" comes from her association with the King, which can be revoked at any time. Her attacking his first born and named heir is a HUGE deal, and the lords of westeros wouldnt batt an eye if he decided to execute Alicent for treason. Also Alicent demanding the eye of rhaenyras children is even more crazy when you think of it this way. She is literally calling for the mutilation of the heirs children and asking a Kingsguard to carry out the sentence, (whose main two duties are to protect the King and the royal line), then proceeds to try do it herself and attacks the heir to the iron throne. I dont like to call Viserys weak but this was his weakest performance as King to let Alicent get away with such treason. Side note, Viserys couldve accepted Rhaenyras marriage proposal of her son and his daughter. Alicent had no authority to turn the proposal down, because again her power derives from the Kings

Exodus Icaurs

Another side note, If a king (like viserys) ordered a kingsguard to execute the queen they would definately do it with basically no questions asked. If a named heir (like rhaenyra)ordered the execution of a queen consort, they MIGHT do it for many different reasons, depending on the circumstance. If a queen consort ordered a Kingsguard to kill the heir, theres no way they would do it unless the heir was literally about to kill the king and the king for some reason couldnt give the command himself. This is the power dynamic for the kingsguard in regard to the royal family. Can even see this in play when Alicent orders Ser Criston to take rhaenyras sons eye, even though he hates rhaenyra and her children he knows he cannot do it. In the moment that Alicent went for Rhaenyra technically any of the kingsguard couldve killed Alicent on the spot and faced no repurcussions as its their duty to protect the royal line

Kevin Mogg

Dang this comment section got spicy lmao. I'm on team Aemond did nothing wrong.

Kevin Mogg

Also they should have actually killed Lenore. It's pretty obvious the writers only did it that way to keep Rheynera sympathetic.
