maybe I was raised different but any Christian Pastor on the west coast is most definitely *not* doing a Catholic sign! The two religions actually have like "beef" between each other! (but I was def raised in a very very strict Christian church haha so it could be different elsewhere!)

That's probably just a terminology thing either in your region and/or I don't know enough about Christianity in the states. In Europe (germany) we call them evangelisch (evangelical christians or protestants?) and katholisch (catholic christians).

I get the differences between this season and the others, but I still rate this one highly — mostly thanks to Matthew’s performance, the monologues, and the writing overall. I also connect with many of Rust’s perspectives (for better or worse 😂). I mention this because of your comment about being influenced by others’ opinions on skipping the later seasons. I know TV is subjective and everyone connects differently, but I have to disagree. I actually really like Season 2 and have rewatched it as many times as this one. Seasons 3 and 4 are solid too. I know you’ve said you’re only covering Season 1 for your content, but definitely give the later seasons a chance in your own time when you can. (Pizzolatto wrote the first three seasons, for reference.) Just my two cents!

🤣flip flops in that bar would be great! Believing in magic books, magic men in the sky, santa clause, flat earth, etc. is not healthy and definitely not necessary for morality. Point of existing has always seemed clear: it’s here, we’re in it: our one and only life so we might as well maximize it. Leaving the planet better-off seems like a good idea. No one needs a magic man in the sky to treat people the way you’d like to be treated. Very respectfully✌️
