I’m sorry but aegon is too funny i cant be against him 😂😂

The scene in the end, to me, shows how Alicent is passing on what she always got from her father. She tries to open up to him about her own sins and feelings, and he answers with "I do not wish to hear it". She then walks in on Aegon crying, breaking down. And rather than trying to comfort him, she leaves him alone to deal with his own emotions. She does not know how to be a comforting, good parent because she never had one herself. On the other hand, Rhaenyra and her children are super close and you can tell she is a great (considering their situation) and loving mother to them

Bro Heleana was weaving that death cloak in the last episode? The burden of a Targ seer😭

ramon carter

yes Allicent has another son in old town name Daeron they never mentioned him in season one

Jordan Clark

Criston Cole is probably one of the most frustrating characters in this show

Dresdon

Ya the show is way too black biased. I hate it lol most this cringe shit the greens are doing is just made up for the show. The show coulda been so much better showing both sides very gray but theyre trying too hard to make the blacks the heroes

Yes, Alicent has another son, Daeron. He's been raised by relatives in Oldtown since infancy. There's a theory about why this happened, but it hasn't been confirmed yet. In fact, there was supposed to be a scene in season one where Otto and Aemond discussed Daeron, but it was cut for an unknown reason.

Killing other dragons was never a problem for the Targaryens. While ordinary people view dragons as something incredible, the Valyrians had been feuding with each other for centuries in Old Valyria. Their wars were marked by mass dragon slaughter, and not always by using other dragons for the kill. Sometimes, more technical means were used.

kevinr

so for a little insight, like the second shot in the new intro shows the doom of valaria then from there it shows moments in chronological order to the present

You can tell how the show doesn't fully know what it's doing or what it wants to be. The setup from S1 just ignores so much, then they try to adjust in S2 but in some instances, they overcorrect. Heaven knows what they'll do in S3, and they have to balance the story with the action. They're fighting an uphill battle. Once again the framing of the whole thing as a side to pick is a big part of the issue. I also dislike the "it's all the women who want peace and all the men who are bloodthirsty" framing as well.

You bring up an interesting point about the scorpions in King's Landing, and you're right. First things first, scorpions are a common weapon of war at this time and armies would equip themselves with them, especially on ships. You'll see regular mentions of them in your reading. Secondly, and I checked to confirm, there are no scorpions mentioned built and/or placed in KL during the war.

I am also very interested in what happens with The Gullet lol

The crazy thing with the Alicent x Criston situationship is it's been ~2 weeks since Viserys' death.

Mari

nfn that is show only. in the book he doesnt go to oldtown until like after laenas funeral. it is more likely they were gonna cut him from the show but then decided to add him back for season 2

Hailed Mercury

Ser Criston Cole, Projector of the Realm

Shadoww

Sorry but maybe im slow how did she know about the ending of the twins????

Cassandra

they’re mention in the main book series (asoiaf) which she is currently reading

Shadoww

Damn didn’t know she was reading the books

My_Cousin_Mose

Man its getting harder to be on any team right now. I couldn't stand young Rhaenyra and I can't stand Alicent now. I'm still team green but maybe Shireen was right. Also the twin scene was so freaking sad.
