at the end of episode 5 jace says that they are valyrian histories meant to geld them in glory. the targaryens were a dragonlord family while the velaryons( and celtigars, the man rhaneyra slapped) were valyrian houses that werent dragonlords. i am under the impression that all valyrians have always had this power or during the velaryons time in valyria they gained this power however the dragonlord families wanted to keep the power to themselves and also had control over dragon eggs. the only reason why laenor and laena got eggs in the first place is bc when they were born, their mother was an heir to the throne, meanwhile aemma arryn didnt get one even tho u can technically say she was an heir of jahaerys but she was an arryn heir and she was further down the line in the targaryen line of succession.

The issue for Jace is that he's spent his entire life being called a bastard, and his only defense against the accusation he's had is that everybody thought dragons could only be ridden by true born dragon lords. So now they're directly going to put Targaryen bastards on the dragons, stripping him of his only defense. Its not just an insult, it calls into question his position as heir.

when Lord Strong said Jaehaerys daughters drove him to the edge of madness it was mainly Hughs mother, Saera, she was caught sleeping with some of the knights at court and after several punishments that didnt work he finally disinherited her and sent to her to the faith to become a silent sister where she ran away to a brothel in Lys. she got rich enough to own a brothel of her own that she gave to her sons. during the great counsel of 101, 3 of her sons were part of the 14 claimants its possible Hugh came to Westeros then.

Rhaenyra sets a precedent for every future bastard to claim the Iron Throne. If Rhaenyra dies someday, Jace could immediately face civil war after civil war and now she gave bastards even bigger dragons than his to contest him. Sure its an advantage in the short term, but not in the long view. You could have easily try to continue to assasinate Aemond. You dont need to counter the dragons, you only need to make them riderless. Vermithor and Silverwing are mating buddies. Which is why they had to claim Vermithor first, cause he is protecting their layer. Silverwing is seen as the most docile dragon around humans.

Laena and Laenor didn't get cradle eggs. They both claimed one later. They could have some that didnt hatch, but that isnt known. We dont know how easy the access to the dragonmont is, but both Vhagar and Seasmoke were very likely not in the dragonpit and thus more out of influence to Jaehaerys or in Laena's case Viserys.

Hugh's (A.K.A. Hugh Hammer's) mother was Saera Targaryen, the ninth child of King Jaehaerys I and Queen Alysanne and the family's notorious "black sheep"! She was known for being rebellious and "promiscuous", so she was sent to the Silent Sisters. Eventually, Saera escaped to Essos, where started brothels in Volantis and Lys. That means that Hugh is technically a grandson of King Jaehaerys (along with Viserys and Daemon) and half-cousins with Ulf!

In the books, Alyn & Addam are rumored to be Laenor's sons. That would give them Targ blood. Also possible their mother had Targ blood as a dragonseed, but we don't get a physical description of her other than she was small.

Remember most of the beaches are great, except for holiday weekends like memorial day, 4th of July etc. crowds are crazy... I don't know which side of the state you are on but...East side cocoa beach, New Smyrna beach and of course West Palm, Ft Lauderdale and Miami beach. Gulf Side, my favorite is Clearwater, St Pete, And I like Venice beach too. If you are lucky you'll find a sharks tooth!!
