Yikes.... I've never actually seen this show, I remember seeing a few minutes here and there and it never caught my attention. But I'm following three reactors on patreon, and all three of them are doing Breaking Bad at the moment. I may have to give it a try, but I can feel it in my soul that I just dont want too. Decisions decisions.

S1 is great but is by FARRR the slowest. It’s sorta like if you enjoy this, it’s already a wrap. The weight and quality of the show literally increase until it ends, nothing like it

I'll say something bad about the show. It is a depressing rewatch imo. Amazing 1st watch. The best part of a reactor watching it is that they'll probably watch Better Call Saul next, the better rewatch imo.

Game of Thrones (seasons 1-6) is top 10 all time TV series. Breaking Bad (all seasons) is arguably top 3. Season 1 is a simmer, Season 5 is flames! Every season is better than the last. None of that dragons cost to much, $$$ stuff, this is pure, unadulterated cinema. Enjoy!

Yup, I was able to call it a wrap, but I dont think I have rewatched this series once. I have not checked the release calendar yet, but I am hoping we get 3 a week.

Many of these scenes are layered with symbolism and meaning. One example is Walter walking in place on the stepper, fixated on a science award from his past. Lighting the matches (a chemical process) and throwing them into the pool. A symbol for the perceived brevity and insignificance of life. There's so much intent and care packed into BB, it's awesome and makes the rewatches worth it.

Breaking Bad in a civilized country: Teachers earn enough money, don't need a 2nd job Healthcare is no problem Social safety nets - paid sick leave Not everyone is running around with a gun shooting your RV door Thank god for the USA, otherwise we wouldn't have Breaking Bad :D

It’s my all time favorite show but for people who watched something that is a massive scale & epic like game of thrones first I understand why they may not get the hype as much. Breaking bad is a more centralized show focused on one basically one major main character & the stakes aren’t about people getting tortured of split in half by swords or eaten by zombies every single episode but I also think the fact that it is grounded in reality makes it more enjoyable personally. It’s the small motivations & details & character developments I’m in love with when it comes to this show but I understand the other sides point of view as well

I get your point about Breaking Bad being more centralized and grounded, but you're kind of underselling GoT. It's not just shock and spectacle, there's a lot of character depth and political complexity there too.
