My read is that Walt finally said "yes" to the treatment because it was on his own terms. If he'd said "yes" at the intervention, that would've been another instance where he felt as though he wasn't in control of his life. However, by initially saying "no", he took back a sense of control, which then allowed the love for his family & guilt about not fighting to take over.

"Wanna cook?" Great reaction. Cancer can be sad. You made good points about the 'intervention'. Walt and Elliot were great with each other at the party. My guess is the idea of Walt cooking meth is unfathomable to Hank. Jesse's parents come across middle class to me.

Omggggg the intervention episodeeee. As an actor it's one of my favourite scenes in breaking bad, especially early breaking bad. The way it's written, shot, paced, acted, AGHH it's all so well done it makes me sick. It's so raw and if you know somebody who has had cancer (my uncle passed from brain cancer when I was a teen) you know how true to life everybody's perspectives are. So well done.
