Skylar is crashing out and I don't blame her

The materials and equipment for making drugs were paid for with Tuco’s 70 grand, not Jesse’s money. If you remember, it was Tuco’s "capital investment."

To me, Walt is really unlucky, but Heisenberg is really lucky

Great reaction! You really captured all the dilemmas in this episode. A lot of reactors and viewers tend to only see one side and end up being completely on either Jesse’s side or the parents’. It’s similar to the “Walter vs. Skyler” dynamic, where people often reduce the situation to choosing a side. First time I watched Breaking Bad when I was rather young, I couldn't stand Skylar. So annoying, passive-aggressive and petty. BUT with the years and growing as a person myself, I really get Skylar as a character. As with any fandom, there are still the haters out there, who will probably give you crap for siding with Skylar. It also shows how complex the writing is, since both sides can feel justified depending on your perspective.

I like your space buns! I really felt bad for Jesse this episode too. I see where his parents are coming from but it's still tough. I think people hang those water bags out because the reflections are meant to confuse flies and repel them.

Speaking as somebody who grew up around and knew many struggling addicts, it is so incredibly difficult to want to help somebody who isn't ready to leave that life. Addiction IS a disease, and a lot of people don't understand that backslides are literally a part of the recovery process. Jesse's parents are completely valid in their viewpoint and in their feelings, and it definitely seems like the correct thing to take back the house. But leaving him with no place at all to stay is a mistake, in my personal opinion. Leaving an addict with no home at all is a very short fence hop away from landing in a drug den. I get them, I really do, because I've seen that situation play out. I've lost two people like this. It feels impossible. But were it me, knowing what I know now, I would take the house and things but offer shelter with the condition of attending rehab and the understanding that rehab isn't a permanent solution. Recovery is lifelong. They are gonna let you down. You have to take care of yourself first, it's not going to be easy, but you gotta tackle it together. (There's also the option of sticking them in jail to dry out and that's preferable to the streets but the revolving door is real and I'd only do that as a last resort)

Possibly the most mild defense of Walter White…. He’s got good taste in music lol. Steely Dan’s’ “Reelin’ in the years” was on my playlist for a few months when I turned 30.

I'm really liking the show so far but its becoming increasingly difficult to actually like any of the characters besides Jesse and Walt Jr. The jury is still out on Hank.
