Who up Battling they Blackwater? I'm fine with the slower pace personally - I know it takes a while but these are big books I wouldn't expect you to get through super quickly and while not every chapter is super important to react to I do enjoy you reacting to them all and seeing what you pick up on, your reactions to new POVs etc. I think in that other format it's always a little cumbersome to decide what's important to react to or not.

Rouental

For the record, I'm fine with the slower pace. It's not exactly like you need to rush to catch up, lol. And I personally prefer the live reactions rather than trying to figure out what you want to include after the fact.

LICHAAAA! I do not mind waiting for the book vlogs whatsoever. I love hearing your thoughts on each chapter and especially your reactions to key moments and lines in the books! I’m rereading the series for the third time with you and it has been seriously my favorite content everrrr. I know it’s definitely more niche than a show reaction but for me it is 100% worth the wait time! Thank you for being such a communication goddess and I love being a book girlie with youuuuu

Jacob Cahoon

Commenting again because seriously, thank you for this content! I love it so much

Avery

I wouldn't prefer the read-through summary format. Active thoughts and reactions make it much more engaging.

On Sansa being unreliable: there's a really interesting line in the next book in a Sansa chapter where she remembers the Hound doing something in her room she never mentions in this book which implies she either misremembers later or isn't telling you fully what happened when he was in her room Also the Hound is in his late 20s and Sansa is 14 so it's weird age wise but people do read this romantically

Eduardo

i'm personally completely fine with waiting on book vlogs, especially if it means we get to keep the live reaction format

Cole Hallee

The long format works for me personally, but it's up to you

tryin_gosling

Pls keep the format the same, nobody else on yt reacts to every single chapter like this 🥹

tryin_gosling

I think the idea from Sansa's perspective is that she was indoctrinated to romantically idolize and adore the idea of the noble anointed knight and has since learned that all of those knights that look so handsome and gallant on the outside are cruel and awful on the inside. Then the hound, who on the outside is the opposite of handsome and rejects the title of knight is actually the only one with a semblance of a kind heart sticking up for her, that's made her feel some kinda way bout him that she can't quite articulate herself

Re: Sansa and the Hound. I think this is one of those instances of authorial intent and what is actually written are divided. I believe that grrm intended for the scene to be equally romantic and terrifying (see how he views Dany and Drogo's relationship). But the scene consists of a man in his mid-to-late 20s holding a knife to a 12 year old girl's throat, two seconds away from assaulting her before he thinks better of it. Bit difficult (for me) to see anything truly romantic there. And yes, she is 12 at oldest. She was 11 last book, and not much time has passed. PS. I love the long form, live reaction style. Longer wait times don't bother me, personally, at all.

FYI Sansa is 12 and Sandor is in his late 20s (28/29 ish) at this point in the story. This scene in Sansa VII is commonly referred to as "the Unkiss" in the fandom. Sansa will reminisce about it and not necessarily remember everything correctly. The relationship between Sansa and the Hound despite appearances is not meant to be viewed as romantic in nature. George himself was surprised that some people view it as such when he was asked about it by the fans. This relationship is essentially a meeting of an idealist (Sansa) and a nihilist (Sandor). Their disagreement revolves around knighthood and knightly ideals. Sandor mocks them but finds this beacon of kindness and purity in Sansa and tries to protect her without fully admitting that he now believes in them. She on the other hand comes to the realisation that not all knights are honourable and uphold their vows (because they beat her) but Sandor kind of does despite technically not being a knight. During the battle Sandor gets scared of the fire, his childhood trauma comes back and the facade of the ruthless killer breaks. What's left is a little boy who was horribly burned by his brother so he goes to the one person he confided in about this to get some comfort. He then proceeds to hold a knife to her throat and forces her to sing the song she promised him in Sansa II. She sings a song but it wasn't earned, he realises he doesn't deserve it. He attacked the person he was supposed to protect and he failed to protect her from abuse on Joffrey's orders many times before. He knows that he can't uphold the knightly ideals so he leaves the kingsguard cloak with Sansa, (I'm also pretty sure you can hear him sobbing but I don't remember tbh) leaves her because he can't stand that he is unfit to be a true knight and hates himself for it.

The book vlogs is the reason i am subscribed to your patreon and what makes you unique. Keep them how you are doing them with the commentary for every chapter 🙏

Rigo Bartolome

As much as I want you to finish the book series and become a psycho like the rest of us, I would prefer for you to keep this format of vlogs, I enjoy everything you say in your live commentary, one of the many things that makes my Saturday so much better 😊

Shaniece Hartsfield

I really enjoy the live reactions. I hope you keep the format the same. I enjoy them so much I couldn’t wait for the youtube reactions so I joined the Patreon. Although sometimes I want more vlogs not at the expense of quality so take your time. And thanks for the great content.

My_Cousin_Mose

Please don't change the format of the book vlogs! I love listening to all of your thoughts and theories. And I wanna see the look on your face when major shit goes down. I would much, much rather keep the slower pace if that means keeping the same format.

My_Cousin_Mose

In regards to the Hound and Sansa if this scenario took place today then the Hound goes feet first into the woodchipper. In this book- in this world I have no issue. This is the norm in their world and has been for probably centuries. If he had forced himself on her idc about norms that's a bridge too far but I can accept this aspect of their world.

Carlos Brügger

i love this format way more and I dont mind waiting. i feel like its so unique and way more personal this way, instead of just giving a summary at the end of each chapter.

Widad

Please don't change the format I quite enjoy you taking your time with it and it even made me start rereading the series again

Kemi Stanton

Girl I EAT THESE VLOGS UP but I crave them so badly BECAUSE of your slower format!! They are ALWAYS worth the wait, so please don't ever feel like you need to rush. Like somebody else in there said, nobody else does chapter by chapter the way you do, it's very unique and by far the best book vlog format I've experienced. You're very much killing it out here don't stop!

Eliana

I know it takes ages to get through but it’s really interesting hearing you sort through each chapter but if it’s draining you we get it 🩵

slnzulas

Sansa is 12 and the Hound is in his late 20s.

Wyman Manderly

I’m so fine with waiting please don’t switch the format! This is the reason I subbed lol

Wyman Manderly

Remember there’s no rush to getting these out. Considering they aren’t finished yet, you can take as long as you need.

My_Cousin_Mose

Side note about an editor- yes more content would be great of course but it doesn't come without a price. I've noticed that the reacters that do their own editing often have the most insightful commentary. Maybe its a coincidence but I think going back and watching that second time helps a lot. Side note side note- which maybe explains why it took you until halfway through Return of the King to figure out Aragorn's name LOL.

M

please keep the same format... don't care about how long it takes :)

Yanverb

George himself often spoken about how he never viewed Sansa and Sandor as anything romantic and is baffled by the people who do.

Nathaniel Hilton

I'm only subscribed to the patreon for the book vlogs and I definitely prefer the slower pace. No one else has done it chapter by chapter, and a lot of the best stuff in the series takes place in quieter moments, or is super subtle foreshadowing.

Esher

no one else does such detailed review experiences like this, i dont mind the slower format at all, id be sad if it was faster, all the more slow peaceful experience

CM

I like the way thing have been currently going and I don't mind the slower pace. The books aren't going anywhere, so there's no rush :)

Luuk

You have the best and most fun format please don't change it, as I loveee ur BB reactions the book vlogs are the reason I've been subbed to the channel since you were half way through AGOT! Love the content keep it up Queen, I don't mind waiting.

Rose

I thought him having framed SanSan art in his house was indicative otherwise, but if he said that then I believe it. Thank you for telling me! I genuinely had no idea.

Zenobia

Honestly, your book vlogs are perfect. I only subscribe for the book vlogs. Many book reviewers focus more on themselves how much coffee they drink or what they eat and how fast they can read, and then they do a 2 minute review of a book. Many of these people don't really seem to care about reading.

Mason Pagnotta

That davos chapter is one of my favorite in the book. That line " gods save us, they've raised the chain" gave me chills when I first read it

Simon

Me too. At this point, the book vlogs are the reason why I’m subscribed.
