Can’t wait for ASOS where we really start to diverge from the show

Can't wait for ASOS! Jaime & Arya POV's are peak

Kemi Stanton

We've already split from the show a TON at this point imo (Dany and Bran in particular, and Arya to a lesser extent) but I am SO EXCITED to get into ASoS. Jamie and Brienne lovers RISE UPPP I think it's an unpopular opinion but AFFC is my absolute favourite book in the series, but ASoS is a CLOSE second. It's so good.

Awesome. Loving your BB reactions. Looking forward to what new movie might be at end of the month. If you want to react to more SW content, please consider Andor.

SECONDED, Andor is INCREDIBLE

Fr the AFFC hate is so undeserved, I think most readers are put off by the lack of certain viewpoint characters but imo the newer POVs are where some of George’s best character work shines through.

Kemi Stanton

Exactly this, plus I feel like his prose was PEAK in AFFC, like the broken men passage is one of my favourites, along with "I still remember red" and many others like, Martin was cooking with GAS and I think you're right that a lot of people were frustrated at the split of POVs that they didn't really take it all in. A shame imo

More movies could definitely be fun. There are so many classic movies out there like LOTR and Star Wars that people my age take for granted that everyone has seen at least once or maybe even a dozen times that I know you never got to see growing up. It would also be really cool if a pure comedy movie got a reaction sooner or later. We've seen you get smile and get excited, seen you cry, and get pissed off even (Shae lol), and we've seen you laugh true but we've haven't got to see you really crack up I don't think. So that would be cool to see. Plus we could all use a bit more laughs these days anyways.

They already diverged a ton in ACOK. The first book is the only one that even resembles the show that closely.

Aj

AFFC is my least favourite by far, but I still really like it.

I’d second Andor as a suggestion for you to react to after Severance, BUT, if I had to choose one show, I would highly recommend Succession. It’s essentially modern day GOT, but also a comedy. It’s one of the best shows of all time.

An advantage of Andor is only 24 episodes. Plus, the episodes are relatively short. From Disney+ for Andor, I count 8 episodes each at less than 45 minutes.

Watch Invincible, You will not regret it! Will be hype for your channel

I think you would also really enjoy some classic older films, maybe expand beyond SW and LOTR. The Godfather Films? (1 & 2; forget 3) Or, if you want to stay in the SciFi genre (or at least SciFi adjacent) I'd love to see your reaction to something like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, or the film Her
