I was told there wasn't enough magical elements in Rad, so I started to concept out some floating platforms and how they would work.

The color of the crystal indicates how it will work. For example: blue will either be stationary or move horizontally, red will fall/ crumble after a short period of time, and green would either just move up or move up and down.

Also made a tall, rock wall for wall jumping.

I'm trying to keep with the crystal aesthetic for the most part, so they resemble McGuffinite or at least not fully-formed McGuffinite.

Make it so it is easier to see what color the gem is so then players can tell which does which more easily.

Ye, I was thinking of having a particle effect also show it's state since you can't see the Crystal's from the top. Maybe even a certain animation or even maybe the crystal pokes through the top so you can see it's color

I would also consider not relying on color to dictate function as a way to be sensitive to other disabilities. Maybe incorporate specific shape language to make sure the function can still stand alone from the colors.
