I totally relate to the search for purpose in your work, and being unfulfilled after seemingly everything you wanted falls into place. I wanted to be a landscape architect, said fuck it I’ll go to school for sculpture instead. Ended up getting an awesome job as a landscape architect anyways, felt guilty about “scamming” the system (and not using the art degree). Same company gave me the opportunity to make large scale public sculptures made of bronze that will outlast any human (weird to think about), and still feel numb to all of it. Its so bizarre to have all of your effort and luck land you your dreams and still have a yearning in your heart. Ive accepted it likely will never go away. But I probably wont ever give up trying!

I'm in a very different field, but the feeling that Nick is feeling was described to me as the S curve. It's an business term that can be applied to career growth. I ended up starting a "new" S curve within the same industry. It's been challenging, but I feel a lot more fulfilled at the end of the day.

I wanna say nick you talking about passing out when giving blood I was able to do it until I turned like 14 15. But what happened to me is I passed out and had some type of muscle spams where my older brother had to hold me down. Since then I have never been able to look at needles being put in my body or anything like that and have fainted multiple times from either stuff with needles or stuff inside the body. My dlc blows its like a day 1 dlc that costs 40 bucks

Ngl nick talking about trying to fill the void of loosing his first best friend is how I feel after i graduated high-school I moved to a different state with my parents and left all my friends behind and I didnt realize it until nick talking about it in this ep where it has been so much harder for me to play single player games unless im in a discord call with a friend watching me play. I hope at some point I can find something to fill that void in some way.
