I’m in tech and had two remote jobs at the same time. Went to a large conference representing one job and ran into my manager at job 2. Drank together at a happy hour and everything was fine but he threw a meeting on my calendar next day with HR copied and said yaaaaa we gotta let u go 💔🥀

I got fired from a mom and pop deli. The owner met me at a park near my house and told me I was fired for stealing even though he had 0 proof. I think it was because he opened a second location and it wasn't doing very well.

Work doesn't have to be shit. We have some really shitty work that exists and it doesn't benefit anyone but the few at the top. The system is focused on profit as the goal, not the benefit of the people in the society. It's not creativity or safety or longevity or progress.
