Nice! Enjoy it! No tissues?! 😬 The usher’s gonna need a mop after you leave your seat.

Dan M

Driving 3 hours to see a movie! Now that’s commitment!

I WENT YESTERDAY AND IT WAS LIFE CHANGING. ENJOY 🥲🥲🥲❤️❤️❤️

Kaleb Barker

Glad you're finally getting the chance. It's definitely worth it. Did you wear makeup? It's going to get destroyed without tissues. Have fun!

Larry Darrell

Worth it! Are you wearing long sleeves? :-/ Sometimes you gotta do what ya gotta do. :-) You can always roll ‘em up afterwards ;-)

Dang! I almost forgot it was being rereleased in theaters. Totally jealous! A long drive, but well worth it! Just checked my local theaters. Looks like it’s playing in 6 different IMAX theaters close to me. One says 70mm in parentheses. I thought all IMAX is shot in 70mm film. Or am I mistaken? Is there different IMAX versions? Should I go to the 70mm presentation? 🤔 We expect a full report Teagan! 😊

TeeZee22

Glad you get to enjoy that! And looks like you have a great position there. It will be rough with no tissues and Dan blubbering beside you, but it'll be worth it!

Kaleb Barker

Select theaters are showing it using 70mm film, not the digital conversion of that footage. If you have the chance to see it in 70mm, I would. None of the theaters near me are doing so.

Robert da Spruce

Thx for the info Kaleb! So would that mean we wouldn’t get all aspect ratio changes during the film that Nolan is famous for?

Kaleb Barker

It's more of a resolution thing. Using film maintains all of the originally captured details while converting it to digital results in some loss do to compression. While not exactly the same, it is similar to the difference between a RAW camera image file vs a JPEG. Many critics say the best movie experiences are always from film using a high quality projector vs a digital file and similar quality digital projector.

MotoDork

Came here to say this. Digital IMAX doesn't hold a torch to the awe-inspiring size of a true 70mm 15-perf IMAX film screen.
