Thanks again to TeeZee and Fantasy Hawkeye for these WONDERFUL books!

I got a beautiful copy illustrated by Tolkien and a gorgeous hard cover set that I’ll use to actually read!

My brother told me I could keep his paper back books too so that I can annotate if I want 😅

Feeling very lucky and very grateful!! Can’t wait to start diving into this deep world!!! Ahhhhhhh!

I got that collectors edition last year for Christmas and love it, though it is almost too pretty to read. Glad you got the 3 book set as well so you don't feel bad about reading it. I LOVE Tolkien. Most beautiful prose of any book I've ever read.

Amazing! I still remember the Christmas I got The Hobbit when I was nine and dove deep into my love for fantasy ❤️

I said this in another comment, but just to be sure you're aware if you care--they break the story at different points in the movies than the books. More so for transitioning from 2 to 3 than from 1 to 2 . The first movie already has you a touch into book 2, but it's not a huge difference. The break points from 2 to 3 are pretty different.

No DONT read YET! PLEASE WAIT. Teegan! PLEASE go into these movies blind. Please dont read them until after you see the movies, we want your reactions to be unspoiled and untarnished. The books dont end where the movies end. They lead into each other and there are differences in the books that could leave you disappointment in the several moments in the movies. Dont read until you are done with all 3 movies. We want you to enjoy the movies, not have them ruined by whats changed from the books or spoiled. I urge PATIENCE for the sake of having the best unadulterated reactions to these movies and as to not disappoint us viewers who are excited to have you watch them as BLINDLY as possible. Im honestly kinda nervous you will spoil yourself now as these are some of some of our most anticipated reactions from you :(

Wow! Those are beautiful! Bravo TeeZee and Fantasy Hawkeye! If you’re interested, JRR Tolkien also has written some beautiful poetry. He’s so eloquent in the way he writes. Can’t wait for your reactions to the next two movies in the trilogy.

We read the book in my 9th grade English class. Our teacher would have us read a couple of chapters each weekend, and then we’d discuss what we read on Mondays. That’s how I got into the lore of Middle Earth.

Dan M

I’m thinking I’ll add that collectors edition to my Christmas list this year.

Lord_Legolas_Greenleaf here! Like I said - when you can read "The Silmarillion"(1977) and remember it's a collection of stories! Chapter 19 is Thee Epic love story of all.
