this show is going to be amazing journey, it adds so much context and complexity to prequels

Stephen Clarke

Know what I'm watching when I get home tonight 😂

One of my favorite arcs! 🥰Love these troopers! "So I says to her: baby..." "You've never even met a girl." I laugh at that one every time. Perfect. And of course that final scene where they all board the assault ship. A tear jerker. Star Wars wouldn't be as good without the Clone Trooper, in general, as such a well developed character.

Selfishness versus selflessness. One of Lucas's fundamental life lessons for kids to learn. Work together for the betterment of all, or just the one (Jedi v Sith - Anakin's story is a big part of that too). Seems plenty of us adults need to remember this these days with the crap that's being intentionally thrown at us at all sides, looking to divide us... A few of these clones we will follow throughout some of the arcs. Its a bit strange seeing some of them be cadets again to see how green they are here!! Ironic hearing one of them (possibly Fives) say he'd rather be trained from a Jedi than a bounty hunter, considering they all stem from a bounty hunter with Jango Fett - who was rather handy. 99 is a legend, we all love him. Told all his life he isn't good enough, you would think that would ground him down and he'd become embittered; but not a jot of it. He knows he can't be the soldier he was bred to be, but he'll still be there for his brothers when they are struggling, and play his part in some way to help them become the soldiers they were meant to be. The Bad Batch is connected in a way, but more on that much later (Excellent show btw - I hope you watch it some day!). We see what the Kaminoan's think of the clones. They are military assets, nothing more, to be used or discarded. As long as the Kaminoan's deliver on them that's all they are concerned with. They aren't treated as people; Shaak-Ti doesn't see it that way of course. The fact that clones look to give themselves names, rather than go by their birth number, suggests some of them at least consider themselves living beings, rather than these assets. Oh "THX variable 1138" - nice. One of Lucas's films he did before Star Wars. And you are right Teegan. Seeing the clones board the Venator at the end, is bittersweet. They passed their trials, and some will be lucky to see the week out.

Agreed, clones will never be as iconic as stormtroopers, but they are better characters, and ripe for plenty of stories.

Love that the music trill at the end sounds like it came from Band of Brothers. This episode is so emotional for reasons I won't spoil. As for your question regarding the Bad Batch show, I think it's a bit of both yes and no. That show wasn't based off of these guys, but rather a namesake. I won't go any further as it steeps into spoiler territory.

I rewatched this one and this is on I never forgotten.

This episode is probably *the* episode that makes people vote for the Chronological order….knowing this episode puts a lot of episodes, even in earlier seasons, in context. No comments on the Bad Batch show, however. Zip.

Shaak Ti is the same species as Ahsoka.

Wakandan King D

Love how attached you already are to the clones it only gets better from here 💯

Loved this Episode. I believe the Bounty Hunters training the Clones is a reference to the Cuy'Val Dar from the Republic Commando books,, a group of 100 Bounty Hunters recruited by Jango Fett in secret, of these 100, 75 were Mandalorians like Jango, the other 25 were non Mandalorian Bounty Hunters like Bric and El-Les. After the discovery of the Clones we see here that the Republic continues their training by recruiting these Bounty Hunters from across the Galaxy, as the Jedi are being spread thin and overwhelmed by the massive Seperatist Droid Army.
