I love this movie it subverts all expectations its just depressing and Thomas Jane kills it in the role loved him in Expanse which I still need to finish and the 2004 Punisher movie

Oooohh boy... As soon as I saw this on the schedule I was genuinely concerned because I knew how this ends. Whoever suggested this movie, knowing how Teegan is...Cruel. 🤣🤣 What's next?? 'Sophie's Choice'?? 🤣🤣

The most devastating ending of any movie I've seen. And if others haven't mentioned it: This is based on a Stephen King novella, which ends very differently. King loves this adaptation and has said he wishes he had thought of this ending.

Funny enough the book ends with them driving to an unknown fate. This was a change from the original ending and one of the only ones King himself thought was better than his own idea.

I remember watching this for the first time, I was home alone and when Ollie shot the cult lady, I screamed and shouted out with so much glee! Like I was watching hockey and The Canucks just scored! And the ending crushed me.. but this is a theory that pissed me off, but sticks with me.. that crazy cult lady WAS in fact the voice of God, because she never actually wished for the dad to die, but she wanted the kid and all the rest. And after he takes them out, the Mist is lifted and help is here. Also I love how they Woman who leaves and wishes them all to "rot in hell". In a sense they all do, including the main guy to have to live with what he did.

Absolutely hated this movie!!! Refrained from watching it because most people said the ending was one of the worse ever made. I agree.

Yea, I heard this theory before, but it was years after I had already watched it. I had always meant to rewatch this movie and watch it through that lens, but I never got around to it. Then Teegan posted it on her notifications and I thought, "I just HAVE to rewatch it!" I'm now inclined to believe that this is what the movie is actually about, and not just your every day, run of the mill survival horror movie.

Aaaaaand...THIS is why it's good you didn't watch this immediately after Ted Lasso. We recommend you binging the entire rest of Ted Lasso's three and a half seasons as remedy STAT.

I know you've seen some Star Trek but can't remember if you've watched DS9. You may have recognized the guy in the hat from his appearances as Sloan in a few episodes of DS9.

The director really enjoys working with those actors and actress so in most of his stuff he tries to bring as many of them on as he can.
