If I turn into a Zombie, I hope I get to play video games and watch movies for eternity too!

Yes! An absolutely brilliant parody film. This movie is the start of the Cornetto, Hor Fuzz (my favorite of the 3) is next. I Highly recommend them.

Matthew McDowell

Shaun of the Dead and Haunting of Hill House reactions in the same week! I should go buy a lottery ticket.

Ian Forbes

Seconded. Great trilogy and hope for reactions to the rest!

Ian Forbes

Been trying to hold off on spooky season reactions until Oct but I can’t resist this one! Let’s go with Cornetto #1 (hopefully not the last). 🤞

Sean Pearson

Isn’t your father a wilderness survival instructor? He would take you out into the mountains before you become a zombie and then you can live in a forest in comfort in a debris shelter!!!!!

Matthew McDowell

If you want to continue the horror comedy theme, I can highly recommend Ready or Not (2019), Happy Death Day (2017), and Freaky (2020). They are all A+ movies.

Here is to hoping for the cornetto set and more ted lasso...probly make the horror month go down easier too...still greatful for this one tho. Thx T 💯

Another comment highly recommending you watch the Cornetto trilogy!

Ben Cole

The other 'intimidating' house mate is the voice of Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace, fun Star Wars fact for you.

benjamin smeeth

Also intimidating Pete is the Sommelier from John Wick 2 (not wines but guns)

Clay F

Enjoyed your reaction. Hilarious movie. Clever. Good music. Liz is pretty. That's cool the movie quotes Bertrand Russell. I don't count myself among rabid fan base who think movie most brilliant of all time, but I might after a couple of rewatches. I also like Hot Fuzz (2nd movie in trilogy), which I like slightly better – both Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz are dang good. I have not seen the 3rd movie in the trilogy. I haven’t seen many horror movies. My favorite comedy horror movies are Zombieland + Dale and Tucker – you have great reactions to those two. Another Edgar Wright movie I have seen is Scott Pilgrim, which is creative and I think you would appreciate. By the way, as you may recall, Simon Pegg is in Band of Brothers.

Justtired

Useless information: Roommate Pete was also the sommelier (the gun seller) in John Wick 2.

The Scurvy Dog

A bit of useless trivia for you Star Wars fans, the Actor who played Pete (Peter Serafinowicz) was the voice of Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace and Solo. (Not the first time Lucas has dubbed over an original actors voice) . "At last we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi. At last we will have revenge." that was him!

Ray Ward

Now that you have started, it’s mandatory to complete The Cornetto Trilogy. In the same way that Shaun is a great spoof of zombie movies while also being a great example of a zombie movie, Hot Fuzz is a great spoof of buddy cop movies while being a great example of a buddy cop movie. This holds true for The World’s End too, but I don’t want to spoil the big reveal in that one.

warcrimes

On the DVD there are some short vids adjacent to the main story of the movie. One shows Dianne surviving, having climbed up a tree to safety. So happy ending for our favorite ditz!

Joseph Lister

Edgar Wright is a genius in how he created the cornetto trilogy! hope you continue it on with Hot Fuzz, Worlds End and the honorary but not cornetto film Paul

Lee N.

I highly recommend this great zombie comedy from the same decade: Fido (2006). Think of a 1950's era society where zombies are domesticated.

Baldemort

Hot Fuzz next to continue what is called the "Cornetto Trilogy!"

Stretch

So many missed jokes/references!
