Some of the jokes in this one didn't land well for me, but I still had fun with it overall!! Let me know what references I missed and if I should watch those movies too!

It’s been years since I’ve seen this movie, probably at least 10 years. It definitely pushed the boundaries of its R rating at the time, and yeah, I can understand how some of the jokes would not sit well with you. The two big movies that it parodies are the original Scream movie (2000) and I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997). Both are pretty good movies that helped re-invigorate the Slasher genre. I think both would make for good reactions and do well on YouTube, especially Scream.

The Wayne’s family knows comedy

Watching "In Living Color" was a weekly event in our house.

Scary Movie V (2013) is peak. IMDb 3.6, RT 4%. "Juvenile even by Scary Movie standards, this fifth installment offers stale pop culture gags that generate few laughs."

You should watch The Usual Suspects. I don't want give away any spoilers, just watch the movie and then you'll understand the reference.

Ron White

Must confess, I have never seen this before. Yikes !!

Wade Wallenstein

WAZZUP?! I saw this when it first came out on home video and have enjoyed it. The crude humor is a bit much for me but it's tame compared to the rest of the films.

Skip second, watch the third one. Its aged a lot better.

The blond guy who climbed into the window at the beginning of the movie is James Van Der Beek, and the show that was being referenced is Dawson’s Creek. James played Dawson, and he would climb into his friend Joey Potter’s (a teen girl) bedroom window often to chat about teen angst.

Scream was definitely a must watch for this. I Know What You Did Last Summer, as well, though I hate to subject anyone to that one.

This one hasn't aged that well. The fun is in spoofing the horror movies of the day. It can be cringy, especially If you don't know all of the references.

I think it is worth watching Blair Witch and Paranormal Experience. Those movies laid the ground work for the Found Footage genre. Lots of people still find them scary.

And the song playing during that scene is the theme song for Dawson's Creek

Dan M

That theme song is very nostalgic. I watched that series religiously.

Mister Lou

"Omg, we hit a boot!" "WHERE'S THE FOOT?!" is one my all time favorite lines from this movie!

Jeff Turner

A very very meh movie imo

+1 for Blair Witch

Scream and I know what you did last summer are the main movies to get this one.
