Non-Consensual adjacent themes have been present since at least the "Mrs. Doris Henderson" Comic. Lady in heat, dudes take what they want, no one says anything so no consent is given, sorta retroactively made consensual cause "it's what she and her husband wanted wanted all along." (Love the comic. Favorite one, btw. 10/10.) It makes sense that the themes progress with time.
