As I said in the beginning, I'm aware of the scandal and all the issues surrounding MNET and its editing, at the end of the day I'm watching this purely for the girls plus to get to know all the others that didn't make it into Iz*one. So far, I'm having a great time and I hope you'll enjoy watching with me!

oh the timing. was just planning to rewatch. weeeeeee

Sally Tay

yay. I'm excited for your reaction to this and for you to get to know the members further :)

BaoziBang

OK... I'm gonna be honest - I watched this Season of the Show purely for Hongki. That's what happens if you love someone since like... 2008? I watched like 20 Hours of Produce just because he is a Vocal Coach (and adorable AF 😂)

Just a comment I wanted to make after watching half your review. I've gotten to the bit where you're watching Yamada Noe, and just wanted to let you know that there's been quite a bit of controversy about her potentially bullying another AKB48 girl, and it was really big news in the AKB world when it happened. If you're interested here's a video with more info. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYXPp2uxBaM&t=219s

Also to your comment about what happened to After School, Pledis did. Pledis (same company as SEVENTEEN and NU'EST) are known to be shit at promoting their artists especially their girl groups. They fucked over PRISTIN who were set to be the most successful permanent girl group out of Produce 101 Season 1, and they also fucked up After School and NU'EST. NU'EST only got revived thanks to Produce 101 Season 2. Pledis stopped giving After School comebacks, and stopped promoting them, no reason given. Then members started leaving the company after their contracts ended and so After School is basically no more.

After watching this I remembered how fxxked the Japanese Trainees would be without Hongki. Honestly, what were they thinking, he is literally the only one of the Trainers that speaks Japanese and they probably didn't pick him because of that but because FT Island is incredibly popular in Japan. Which doesn't necessarily mean he would be able to speak Japanese.

BaoziBang

Please react to FT Island - Lose Live! Just so you can get to know his Voice a bit and his Group (BTW, FT Island was the 3rd Group I got into back in 2008. The first 2 were TVXQ & Super Junior!)

BaoziBang

I just remembered!... Seungkwan from 17 is a MASSIVE FT Fan and once got the opportunity to sing with Hongki on his Radio Show! A absolute must see! https://youtu.be/gjjKNUSoP-I

Thanks for reacting to PD48, I actually just rewatch this 2 weeks ago during my COVID 19 house stay-in

laura

Everytime I remember Wonyoung was 13 and Yujin was 14 during the show I'm just mindblown, they're literal babies... Very excited to rewatch the show with you btw

BABIES. CHILDREN! It's seriously mind boggling. When I think of my dumbass self at 13/14.......

Thilde

Rewatching this with you is already making me emotional lol. I'm still not fully stanning Izone but I love the girls, and I'm a huge fan of some of the trainees that didn't make it into the final 12. The RBW girls Goeun and Jieun as well as Cube's Chowon and Miyu are some of them but tbh its hard not to get invested in literally everyone

Hey! Sorry about that, we've been having issues with google drive the past few days but I've just added a new link to Dropbox for this episode which should be all good to go now! I'll add similar links to the other episodes asap but they take a little while to upload so you'll have to bear with me :)

Drakeon

What I love about this show is how it marks the beginning of so many trainees who go on to debut including members of Rocket Punch, Cherry Bullet, Everglow, Fanatics, Secret Number, Purple Kiss, Elris, etc.

Watching PD48 again with you and it is so strange to see how different the IZ*One members were. Hahaha Also seeing other girls who have debutted in other groups, seeing how much they have grown is too good.

Ponyo11

chaotic powerpuff girls lmao that's it exactly. i remember rooting for those girls. btw i'm in quarantine feeling extremely bored and lonely, and it turns out rewatching this cursed show "with you" is exactly what I needed. so, thank you for this content

Jay

I just realized there's a few girls who got an A and never got screentime afterwards :/

Just finished your PD48 reactions, can't help but binge watching them. I don't remember in which episode you mention that it must be difficult for the Japanese trainees to learn Korean. Yes, learning a foreign language is never an easy thing to do. Just think you might like to know, maybe you know this already :D, actually Japanese is probably the most similar language to Korean. They have the same grammar structure. Korean, Japanese, and Chinese share similarities in different ways. Lots of pronunciations are really alike in Korean and Chinese. Japanese and Chinese both use Chinese characters. It's really fun to learn the other languages if you've learned one of the 3. ;)

For some reason, I can't access the old or new link. The dropbox link says that the video was deleted. So how? :)

I need to make some adjustments to some of these older links. Takes a bit of time but I'll get it as soon as I can!

wow i'm really gonna rewatch produce48 for the 4th time just to see your reactions hahaha

Yarden00

Wow this hits different after more news on the scandel that happened with produce series returns. They revealed who actually made the debut group and who had their scores sabotaged so they lose. Makes me feel much more sadder for the girls who didnt make it watching this a second time around😭
