The SumitoMedia Intro (Patreon)

Some early concept sketches and the images used in the motion graphics for the introduction.

Artwork and introduction made by the very talented Yuki (@cobaltchordata on Twitter).

The introduction made for the YouTube channel was one of the biggest pieces of artwork I've had done for basically anything related to content creation. The idea for the introduction was a bit of a grey area from the beginning with Yuki suggestion things from a storybook opening to a talk show theme song before we ultimately landed on an anime-style introduction parodying memes and anime.

The introduction originally spanned about 12 seconds and encompassed a parody of the introduction from Cowboy Bebop and parodied images from Spongebob, Zombieland Saga, End of Evangelion and Pokemon as well as the Shia LeBeouf "just do it" meme and the orange justice dance from Fortnite. The OG intro was later cut to be much faster and only take about 6 seconds since YouTube hates introductions like this but I keep it for branding.

Little easter egg here - the text scrolling in the Cowboy Bebop parody is actually the script from Bee Movie.
