the balls in the chair where putter by the son so the chair could be stable for his mom aswell as a heater next to it so she wouldn't be cold. The whole point was that he was also taking care of her but wasn't "seen" as much as what the daughter did

Geum-myeong was angry at Young-beom, who was worried about her, because he did not understand her situation. Geum-myung's family is not well off, and she feels burdened by getting financial support from her parents. Geum-myung's neighborhood is neither clean nor safe. However, if she wants to find a better home, she has to burden her parents, which is not what Geum-myung wants. And this is a situation that most ordinary people can relate to. However, Young-beom, who grew up in a wealthy family, is ignorant of realistic poverty. Young-beom spoke negatively to Geum-myung who wants to think about the positive side of his house even though it is a poor house objectively. As a boyfriend, you can be worried. However, if he was going to marry Geum-myung (if he was going to be a family member), he had to consider her situation, too. In a realistic way, not an emotional way of just spouting worrying that this place is dangerous.

If you watch the drama at this point, Youngbeom and Geummyeong's words "You don't know about Seoul" have a different meaning. Young-beom worries about Geum-myung who got a house in a dangerous neighborhood in Seoul, where dangerous incidents such as serial murders take place. Geum-myung, on the other hand, points out Young-beom who doesn't notice that this was the best place to live in Seoul with the money she had.
