I hadn’t seen Demon Slayer before, but I’ve got to say, watching it with you got me pretty intrigued — I might have to start it myself. It seems like an interesting and exciting new series (and a great intro to anime in general) for you going forward. By the way, you mentioned a different channel at the beginning — did you start a new YouTube channel dedicated to anime? Also, the opening theme (Gurenge by LiSA) is a really famous song, even beyond the anime itself. I actually knew it without ever having watched the series. LiSA’s pretty much considered the queen of anime theme songs in Japan. I think it’d be cool if you did reactions to the full versions of the songs from the shows you’re watching — maybe as an interlude between episodes or as a little bonus video. If you liked this one, you’ll probably enjoy a lot of anime music since it often leans toward hard rock or metal. Plus, it could be a great way to dive deeper into the Japanese music scene!

Summarize of the Episode1-2 [ Character ］ - Kamado Tanjiro （Main character） - Kamado Nezuko (Tanjiro younger sister) - Tomioka Giyu （The demon slayer who saved Kamado siblings) - Urokodaki Sakonji （Trainer, with goblin mask on） [ Facts to remember ] - Tanjiro's family selling charcoal to live - Tanjiro have great sense of smell, also with Urokodaki the trainer - Tanjiro head is hard as rock😆 - Nezuko can shift her body to different size as a demon - Demons would killed by sunlight - Demons have healing and regenerate ability [ Interesting little details n visual feature can focus on ] - Tanjiro has a scar on his forehead - Nezuko's eyes are different between her demon mode n human self, and her now has fangs n longer nails which represent her a demon - Nezuko hairs now become two tone [ Some Japanese words n phrases ] - katana ( japanese sword, which the demon slayer hold ) - kimono ( japanese traditional costume, you can see those character wearing n each has different pattern ) - O nii chan (older brother) - O nee chan (older sister) - Imouto (younger sister) - Otouto (younger brother) - O jii chan (grandfather / elder man) - O baa chan (grandmother / elder woman) *Btw "chan" is a casual n close way to call a person, like your own family, friends... If you do it in a formal n more respectful way then change it to "san" in the end, for example " O jii san, O nee san... " usually more for unfamiliar person n in social. It is a honorifics things just like in korean they will add "se yo" in the end n have some different words or way to speak. Japanese also have that. * I saw that the subtitles translation in the episodes is great so far, just in the beginning scene when the younger siblings call Tanjiro "nii san/nii chan", it shows up as the name instead of "big brother" something like these, so I think it make you confused n hard to pick up about their relationship a bit at first, but not a big deal, just in case you want to know n maybe it helps you later on for better understanding. I just here try my best to give some help base on my little anime n japanese knowledge, If I forget something or mistake, welcome anyone to add on or correct me. And I just talk about the things that already told in the episodes, like a recap, not spoiled anythings tho, dont worry about. Hope you All enjoy during this journey ~☺️

Great summary! Haha yeah the way they kept calling Tanjiro onii-chan immediately gave away their relationship, but Aaron couldn't tell because the translation just said either his name or 'you' :D Little things like that will come with time for him. I don't know if it's explained later what's up with the mask the master got on but from my personal knowledge it looks like a Tengu (red; long nose probably the most telling feature) which is a supernatural being - Yokai in Japanese mythology/Shintoism. Demons or Oni in Japanese are often classified as the type of yokai as well. That's one of the main reasons I got pretty excited and intrigued to watch this show because I'm a fan of anything mythology/superstition related. Also, pair that up with swords and slaying and you got a recipe for a successful shonen imo :D I can't help but see some similarities to Bleach which is one of my favorite anime of all time. If I remember correctly, I've seen somewhere that the creator of Demon Slayer was inspired by Bleach or something along those lines(?).
