i do agree that rosa was a bit too involved when it comes to her son wanting to be a priest (although i do lowkey agree with her) like yes ultimately it’s his life & if he wants to be a priest he should but i can also see how all her kids are either priests or nuns so i can see her wanting her last kid to not go that same path because she’d be lonely. obviously it’s a bit selfish but at the end of the day i get where she’s coming from. it’s also obvious that her son liked being a doctor. seokhyeong’s mother on the other hand from what we heard was extremely overboard. even seokhyeong said how tough it was for his wife to the point that they got a divorce. he wasn’t even as close to his mom until she got sick & his sister died and all the stuff with his dad cheating happened. his friends even mentioned in s1 how seokhyeong always talked bad about his mom so to me while rosa is not great at self reflection i see them very differently. also rosa’s son is like 40. i feel like at a certain point he should put his foot down if he really wants to be a priest but maybe that’s just me
