The meaning of the Love Wins All music video’s ending becomes clearer when viewed alongside the VCR shown after the stage performance. In that VCR, the scene of the two characters riding in a car closely mirrors a similar scene from the Strawberry Moon music video. In Strawberry Moon, IU floats in the air after falling in love. And flying the sky with the male lead with car, symbolizing love as a force that allows them to transcend reality. Additional clues can be found in IU’s Golden Hour concert, specifically in the VCR shown during the Strawberry Moon stage, where the narration says: “When a moment becomes so precious that you wish time would stop flowing, that is when your world finally begins to turn red.” It can be seen that the ending of Love Wins All music video may appear sad ending. The cube seems to turn red, and the main characters appear to be victims of countless piles of clothing, giving the impression of a sad ending. However, the true meaning is quite the opposite. The red color represents a world dyed red by love of main characters. Love overcomes hatred, and the ending aligns with Strawberry Moon: a happy ending in which the characters ultimately rise and fly. The countless piles of clothing symbolize the innumerable “victories” of love that have existed before them. This interpretation is further reinforced by the heavy use of red throughout this album and its music videos, as well as the increasing dominance of red lighting toward the finale of the HEREH concert—both visual choices that express the triumph of love. Two key themes run throughout The Winning album: “victory” and “floating.” The theme of victory is subtly embedded in the lyrics of every track. Songs like Shopper encourage dreaming boldly and claiming what one desires, emphasizing not only personal triumph but also the victory of love itself. The word “floating(부유)” carries a dual meaning in Korean. It can mean “to float” or “to rise,” but it also refers to abundance—of wealth, resources, or even generosity of spirit. “부유” is not merely means rich, but also means emotionally generous and abundance in heart. This dual meaning explains why the album has two title tracks: Shopper and Holssi. Shopper represents abundance—the freedom to fill a shopping cart with everything one desires—while Holssi symbolizes floating freely through the air. Just as with the theme of victory, imagery of flying and rising appears repeatedly throughout the album’s lyrics and music videos. Through this album, IU expresses that she has moved beyond the idea—rooted in her early twenties—that she must remain a flower blooming on the ground. Instead, she has become a dandelion seed drifting freely in the air, having risen, having won.
