Thanks for this! At first, Sanemi action can be very confusing and overdramatic. But, we have to take into consideration that Genya's his only family, and being in the demon slayer corps is VERY dangerous. (As someone that have read the manga, it's all I got to say for it not to be a spoiler). The only I can assure you is that Sanemi loves him more than anything, even more than his own life.

Sanemi doesn't want Genya to be the demon slayer corps because he doesnt want his only left younger brother to be in danger, not because he is weak. I know Sanemi has that kind of personality, but he is soft inside. And also he HATES demons.
