it is hard for me to admit but Akaza is my fav Upper moon. His love for Koyuki is so gentle it made him unconciously have a soft spot for any kind of woman. If you realize, in the previous eps, Akaza mention that he refuse to eat woman flesh and blood because he thought woman was weak. he hates weaklings. And that is why in 1st the upper moon meetings he shows how much he hates Doma, Upper moon 2, because on the contrary, doma like to eats woman flesh.

Still cry every time I hear my favorite saddest dialog ever. "Tadaima, Modottayo" "Okaerinasai, Anata" 😭😭😭 by the way, if you notice, the master said that he and his father can't bring him to heaven, so when akaza died, koyuki follow him to the hell. Even if Koyuki can be in heaven.

Great reaction. I cried again when watching this full movie. One thing I should mention (i don't know if others mentioned it or not) is that the skill names Akaza uses actually come from his memory of watching the fireworks with Koyuki (although is a bit strange when translated to English). The shape of his technique’s development—the compass drawn on the floor—matches the shape of Koyuki’s hairpin. Also, “yuki” in Japanese means “snow,” and if you look closely the compass Akaza makes actually resembles a snowflake.

I really enjoy your insightful commentary! However, sometimes the frequent pausing breaks the emotional flow and the buildup of the scene. It would be even better if you could let the key moments play out a bit longer before pausing, so we can feel the full impact together😊
