Se7ven is a Yg artist who debuted a little earlier than bigbang, at his concerts he used a stick bended in a 7 shape so it was kind of one of the first “lightsticks” in kpop but GD made them with an actual design

Wow didn't expect you to jump into this episode of Zip Daesung. The level of Chaos lol Zip Daesung basically means “Daesung at home” (Zip: house/home). Because Daesung is homebody, the concept of the show is for him to meet more people while still feeling relaxed at a home-like setting. You should definitely check out ep 28 and 29--the return of bigbang. Also, it’s not their 20-year anniversary yet, it’s in August. And before BIGBANG’s comeback, Taeyang just announced that he is releasing his full album this month. 5/18 to be exact :)

“Like a lie, a day like this has finally come” uses “like a lie” as a kind of Korean idiomatic expression to convey the surreal feeling that such a wonderful day has arrived almost too unbelievably to be true. The word “lie” also playfully references Lies, one of BIGBANG’s signature songs. In the middle, Vince’s new song “Cha Cha Cha” is mentioned, and G-Dragon was featured on that track. When Taeyang introduces his bracelet, he sweetly explains that he is not wearing it because he wants to keep it safe and treasure it. That line was not translated, but from the side G-Dragon jokes, “Because it’s heavy.” He is such a mischievous T. The documentary Big Bang: The Beginning shows BIGBANG before their debut. Their other entertaining variety appearances are wonderful too, but I think starting with this documentary is also a great idea.

ZIP DAESUNG usually follows the normal variety show interview format (aside from the rare vlog episodes), this one is the only exception haha! Also the pre-release is not a trailer so you kind of missed out on 6 minutes of content - it's basically the events leading up to the main episode, that's why it felt like the show suddenly started for you xD This series has a lot of interviews with some 2nd gen idols you're familiar with, so I would definitely love to see you to check them out in the future especially since you have been pretty much doing a deep dive into that era for a while now (: BIGBANG as a group is mostly unfiltered in talk shows even during their active era, so I can't wait for you to check out more of their stuff in the future! I haven't laughed so much in a while, this ep is just chaotic! So happy you checked it out, haha. This is really just their natural selfs and I love it so much. I feel like we don't get to see this kind of thing often, especially with GD, because he's not himself when he's not surrounded by his long time friends. He's really the best when he's fully comfortable! They all are. I love to see their bond after so long in the industry. They really lived through all kind of things together. And yeah, Daesung is LOUD. But so funny and sweet. Makes for really funny variety shows, haha. By the way, before jumping into the Beginning docu, would you perhaps want to check out the bts of home sweet home over on GD's channel? It's two videos and they are quite short. You could check them out in one video. Would love for you to get more backround on that song and MAMA 2024, so basically when they came back as three after that long break. Was a really iconic time!

ZIP Daesung is such a fun show! If you want any suggestions for future episodes to watch, my favorite is the one with Jiyoung and Youngji from KARA! Jiyoung has had a public crush on him since KARA and BigBang's rookie years and the whole episode is so cute and their chemistry is crazy!
