It’s kinda funny that, for a group that focused so little on choreo in their career, the final evaluation was a dance performance. But it was wise to test them in a live setting to see if they were ready to debut. And to your question at the end, I think GD/YB were under a different kind of pressure. They were more anxious about whether the group could debut at all. GD said in an interview that, in the eyes of YG, it did not matter whether they had trained for 6 or 60 years. If they did not possess the ability required to succeed in the industry, YG would rather choose no one at all. But in the context of eliminating 2 out of 6, they probably had more assurance than the other 4. They probably felt sad knowing that someone they had trained with, who had worked just as hard as they had, was going to be eliminated. But the other 4 guys were probably the most nervous about the results. Looking forward to your reaction to their comeback next week!

I've really enjoyed rewatching these episodes with you! I didn't see this series documentary until after their debut, since I found BigBang in 2007... but it was the first time I realized what Kpop artists go through, in order to debut.

Yesss, Daesung is unbelievably adorable and sweet! Please watch Family Outing with Daesung. He became such a huge fan favorite in Korea because of that show. It was the No. 1 variety show back then! And honestly, he’s still just as hilarious today. 😭😂
