Haha You saw the male lead from the drama Signal! He played the police lead😁 It was so nice seeing Grandma Mun-hee we saw from IU's new release. I really enjoyed the movie — such warm, human connections, wholesome, funny, and really meaningful too. Now I get the meaning behind the movie's title.

The saddest part is that these girls were 10 to 19 years old. Children, truly. This isn't some distant "history" — if things had gone differently, they'd be sitting at our dinner tables right now, as our own grandmothers. All they ever wanted, in their own words, was one thing: a sincere apology and compensation from the Japanese government before they die. As of March 2026, only 5 survivors remain, and after all these decades, they still haven't received what they asked for. Just like the film shows — denial, doubt, silence, until there's no one left to answer to. To be fair, this was never about the Japanese people themselves. It's about a government and an education system that leaves this out entirely — the same goes for wartime history as a whole. Talking with Japanese friends of mine, it was genuinely shocking how little most people there grow up knowing about this part of their own country's history, beyond its more celebrated chapters. l truly wish real, unambiguous acknowledge happens before it's too late — otherwise, this just gets passed down to the next generation not as something recognized and resolved, but as an old wound left open. This is why films and records like this matter so much. These stories deserve to be remembered, not erased.

I always enjoy seeing your reactions! If you're looking for horror/thriller movie to watch, I recommend checking out "Colony" (군체). It's directed by Yeon Sang-ho, the guy who made Train to Busan. Also, here are a few recent Korean movies I'd recommend! * Harbin * Escape * HOPE
