Yes, it's about time for some Daesung Appreciation!! This song is truly magical in a live setting, especially with non-Korean audiences. I don’t listen to trot myself, but hearing the crowd sing along to the chorus (since those are the only words we know 😂) and dance along at the concert was so much fun. The energy is just infectious! I'm so happy that you enjoyed it as well! This was Daesung’s solo debut, it was def a very interesting song choice. At the time, Daesung was a co-host on Family Outing, one of Korea’s most popular variety shows, hosted by Yoo Jaesuk. The show appealed to a wide range of age groups, and releasing this trot song made him even more popular among older audiences who don't really listen to Kpop. GD composed and wrote the song, which also received a lot of positive feedback since it was about as far from his usual style as you could get.

Yessss Daesung solo content finally! I'm so glad you decided to watch this as your first Daesung solo performance video, now you understand why he's called Yabai Kang HAHAHA Daesung has an extremely huge fanbase in Japan, the group even mentioned that at least 6 out of 10 fans in Japan are Daesung fans back in the day 😄 The first song Furui Nikki is actually a cover (the original artist is Akiko Wada)! Funkish J-pop like these used to be MY JAM. I would probably classify Look at me Gwisun under a similar category (although Trot is a genre by itself). Songs like these really need a specialized singing style and Daesung's vocals are a great fit since it leans more towards rock (I believe he also mentioned before that one of his favorite singer is Freddie Mercury). And I just love seeing reactors watch his live performances in general because everyone always has a good time very much like you did! I cannot stress enough how he never fails to put a smile on my face ❤️ If you really like these kinds of songs from him, I highly suggest checking out AZECHO and Hando-Chogua ☺️ Thank you for your reaction as always!

I was wondering why you were doing the Gwisun dance in your latest Zip Deasung reaction, now it's clear haha. I wonder if you have reacted to the MV on the yt channel and when we'll see that reaction!

Honestly, it seems like Aaron isn't reading any comments lately? He kind of indicated that he reacted to the MV, but isn't really posting it which is unusual for him to post a Patreon live stage before the MV. He always mentions it if it happens. Kind of confused what's up with the Zip Daesung reaction where we basically got both parts in one day? Is he without realising going to upload the second part on Tuesday because he's not really engaging with his Patreon community anymore? Maybe he's just on holiday right now, at least I hope that's the reason why he's been kind of absent lately.

Yeah, I think most likely he’s traveling/on vacation. I’m sure he has filmed the MV reaction, hopefully he will post it after he reads our messages. We can also dm him, but in general he reads comments sooner than dm especially since he’s not taking requests anymore. But yeah, likely we won’t get new variety content next week if he’s traveling/pre-recording. We’ll just have to be patient 😅

True! I've actually dmed him when the Zip Daesung ep came out, but he hasn't read nor answered, but I kind of expected it so it's okay. But I think he hasn't been reading comments for a few weeks now or only partially reading comments and ignoring others. But I think he only started reading and liking comments around a year ago when he started with Big Bang reactions. I've been following him for a while and I honestly don't ever remember him liking any comments (could be wrong of course since I wasn't as active here before BB). I think I've gotten used to this new standard haha and expect too much... I should calm down lol

Yeah, the likes are new. Some days I feel like Aaron be sprinkling likes like GD lol. I started watching him from his SHINee reactions, and he didn’t really like the 2nd gen sound back then, but I stuck around for his movie reactions. I just prefer reactors to be honest instead of hyping everything up for views. But same, I was never active in the comment section before BB lol

That's so funny, sprinkling likes like GD hahah. So true. I also started watching from his Taemin and then SHINee reactions, although I subscribed to Patreon a little later. I mean, he was a huge Taemin fan, but I'm still sometimes so surprised to see him loving 2nd gen more and more. So happy about it. I also love his reactions for how honest and real he is which is why I stuck around for so long, totally with you on that!
