From what i remember this is either the second or third last episode that hase CNBT as the intro, but i’m not 100% certain, but aside from that this episode, like all the others, is peak fiction

Brie&Apples

I love Joseph hating what he thought was Japanese coffee in pt3 and now that he is too senile to be racist he says that he enjoys it.

Faust

I love that Araki made Morioh-cho Radio a reoccurring thing, the normality of it is so reassuring.

Wonder Of You

him adding his color in the water still shows that the joestars no matter what age always sacrifice for the sake of being good and helping

Yonkuo

did u just aww floating baby clothes?

Fruit

16:46 🤔🤔🤔

Babi Ketjap

I do need to mention that Joseph very likely was upping the "old man act" a bit in order to not scare off Josuke too much. As you saw in the water he does still retain some of his reflexes as well.

Alfonso

My goat isn’t washed

jab

On god

jab

Mfs when someone is a normal human being with basic emotions

Yonkuo

i thought it was a funny comment my bad😎

hello there

that and he still knows how to use hermit purple with precision

hello there

yeah Chase becomes the new opening in ep 15

If you pay attention Joseph's behaviour loosens up with Japanese things, like how he hated Japanese coffee in Part 3. Someone said he hated anything Japanese in Part 3, partly because he was trying to distance himself from the Japanese and trying to cover up his affair with Tomoko during Part 3 while diverting attention to Holly. Also, when Joseph found the baby, he was quite energetic enough without his cane and also could run from Josuke, which somewhat proves Joseph is playing senile old man just for the prank of it, not far-fetched for his character. Also, Crazy Diamond baptised that baby in the pool if you noticed his pose, haha.

rangga

I believe it is somewhat around when Rohan appeared to

While Crazy Diamond baptised the baby after

I'm glad you are so attentive. On my very first watch I didn't make the connection between the severed hand last episode - which had a ruby ring, and the one mentioned in this episode.

ArFanik

GREAT episode btw, my GOAT is still in there somewhere. (I think Joseph is trolling, and playing up the fact he's senile, the shit eyesight and hearing tho, I believe that to be true). I also believe the baby was born a stand user, and the closest stand users she could attract that were in her vicinity happened to be Joseph and Josuke.

astralman

What I thought pushes this moment even further is that Joseph said he might die because he didn't know Josuke could heal him. He was literally willing to bleed out to save a baby, he really is carrying on the golden heart of Jonathan.

ZombieKi11er

Late to the game, but man I was thinking last episode “look how far we have gotten” and I reflected on like how positive you were in part one to now. And like the rollercoaster of adventures we have experienced and have yet to experience. Also you are the MOST attentive person I’ve seen watch this show (MUCH better the me)! Thank you Steph! I’m am so glad to be apart of this (growing) community of people. Shoutout to all the other patreons too. It’s fun reading your guys thoughts. I’ve never watched a TV show with ppl before and it is SO much better!

PocariCalpico

Imagine Jotaro's reaction when Joseph shows up back at the hotel with another baby lmao

Armani_Glasses

I think Joseph thought he might die soon because he was about to slit his wrists open 😅

steely dan

Yeah, kinda sympathise for Joseph here, even though it was for good reason Josuke probably made him feel really bad about everything ;-;

Hardcase

I really love the relationship that Josuke and Joseph have towards each other. It’s also really sad to see Joseph like this, we knew him since he was a teenager and have followed him through every stage of his life, seeing him become so slow and senile and in need of someone to take care of him is kinda heartbreaking, but still beautiful in a way

Hardcase

Btw there’s a new opening in episode 15. It’s completely safe to watch and I have seen multiple other reactors watch it without getting spoiled in any way. The only thing that I should mention is that much like the first opening, it shows some characters that you haven’t met yet, but they are shown completely out of context and as far as I’m aware you don’t consider merely showing a character to be a spoiler, so I think it should be quite safe to react to

Pendro

I really like how much restraint is showed in portraying the strained relationship these two have. It's very easy to go overboard when writing these interactions. There's so many conflicting emotions, it's a complicated mess to navigate and you have to stay true to the characters as well. Rather than there being an emotional peak there's this push and pull. It's uncertain and it's awkward. The ending scene feels really meaningful despite not being super emotional because it gives closure, a silver lining. It took an entire episode for them to find something to connect on despite everything.

Otaku Steph

ahh deffo worth mentioning - thank you! joseph, our considerate king

Otaku Steph

the way i THOUGHT i was grasping at straws haha i was like omg WAS it a ruby ring actually LOLOL xD imma be like that when im older, using weaponsied incompetence so more people will help me out LOL

Otaku Steph

ah YES omg!!!! didn't cross my mind he hadn't seen Crazy Diamond's power at that point! damn, now im getting teary eyed again

Otaku Steph

WOW. thanks so much for sharing!! Also shoutout to the fan/creator who broke all this down. Makes me wanna buy some physical copies of Jojo's once i've finished 👀

Otaku Steph

exactly this omg 😭 seeing him playfully dance around Santana to now needing to rely on a cane is so saad. But also really heartwarming seeing Josuke supporting him

Otaku Steph

ooo PERFECT thanks Hardcase!! noted 🫡

Otaku Steph

beautifully expressed!! i also really loved how their relationship has been portrayed - it feels very realistic whilst also allowing the viewer to understand how the different sides are feeling. i love josuke and joseph so much

Caroline Medhurst Jackson

THEORY : Joseph is faking being dumb, senile and having to walk with a cane. So Josuke won't go as harsh on him because he was never in his life

Gabriel Macedo

Baby.. standoh???? Death 13 flashbacks rn fun fact: Joseph says Japanese coffee is terrible in episode 2 or part 3. And now he starts the episode saying japanese coffee hits the spot. Guess Jotaro made him overlook his previous hatred for the Japanese lol. Some people say that this and a certain rodent focused episode(you'll know, soon)are fillers. But honestly i think that's just dumb. This episode is very important to the reintrodution and development of Joseph and Josuke's relationship. Josuke is 16 and Joseph 80. Joseph is an rich british/american from early 1900 and Josuke grew up as a late midclass 1980s japanese boy. The age and cultural gap couldn't be more aggressive with these two. They had to have a reason to bond over. Otherwise it simply wouldn't happen. people also criticize Josuke for being rude and expecting the worse from Joseph. Which i find weird. He's a 16 boy that knows his 80yo father got his 30syo mom pregnant and disappeared. His mom also seems to be kind of "stuck" romantically ever since. Is it really that surprising that he didn't had the best expectations towards Joseph? Edit: just realized Joseph and Josuke have 1 specific thing in common. Thry were both raised by single women. I wonder if Erina and Tomoko would get along. And ngl the baby is like top 3 favorite characters for me. God i love her so much.

Kyoya Ootori

I love how Joseph gains so much more vitality and sharpness when it comes to an "attack by an enemy stand!". I think he may have some PTSD. But nice to hear him say "OH MY GOD!" again. Also, I feel the baby store cashier was very obviously taking advantage of his senility; if he wasn't he would recognize that he doesn't know what he's doing and give him the best recommendations (even if they do end up pushing the more expensive options). Finally, I never picked up on the ring girl being dead before, and I've seen this 4 times.

Memesicles

Y'know what I don't get, and kind of seems like a glaring plot hole? How Joseph is even old the way he is. Like... remember how Hamon lets people seem decades younger than they are? And how vampire blood makes you nigh-ageless? Joseph technically has both after the end of part 3. HOW IS HE OLD?

Ethan J Soto

Hamon training does extend your life, but it's never stated that Joseph continued his Hamon training even past part 2. He wasn't like Ton Petty or Straizo, who were monks who dedicated their entire lives to Hamon. Joseph used it as a tool. Part 3 he used it once or twice? With very little creative application that his part 2 self would normally use. It makes total sense that 60 years of not training, Joseph would lose his vigor at a normal rate of an average person.

Otaku Steph

AHAHAH being able to hear "OH MY GOD!" again gave me SO much joy xD also, very good point on the store cashier - i genuinely thought mans was completely oblivious LOL...

Otaku Steph

O WOW i wouldnt have thought this would be considered a filler!! i agree - i feel like seeing the relationship between joseph and josuke would prove to be pretty important, considering how we're going to have these two supposedly work together in the foreseeable future. Also, really love how you've delved into the different social classes between these two - that is one of MANY reasons why they're so disconnected, but deffo extremely important to consider!

ManilyMile

My thing is aswell is that while Joseph is his father, he's of age and practically acts like a grandfather. In my head, Josuke sees Joseph as such, and considering how close Josuke was to his own granddad, he most likely thinks that not only is Joseph trying to be his dad again, but also replace his grandfather figure, which bodes even worse in trying to start a relationship. Biggest asspull probably, but that's how I saw things watching this episode.

ManilyMile

Man being a fan of JoJo as this episode was airing was a pain, the people I used to talk to about JoJo plus some online chatters really hated how Josuke handled this. To me, like the commenters and Steph has said already, Josuke knows nothing about the Joseph we've seen during Part 2 and 3. To him, this is a senile old man who cheated on his wife and impregnated Tomoko who is significantly younger than him, a man who never showed up in his life and saw as a father who ran away from responsibilities and left behind a family. It wasn't fair to hate on Josuke considering all that, was he harsh? Yeah, but again, this man was never part of his life, a stranger who shares his own blood.
