Oh gosh, if she can't handle Part 5 then she'll NEVER catch a Break from Part 6. 💔

Fernando Aguja

I'm not ready to have my heart broken again. Saluts dear Steph

JeanJean

LETS GOOO. My favorite stand design with Killer Queen. So damn terrifying.

Wonder Of You

king crimson is a beast of a stand honestly one of the most terrifying abilities even more than the world and killer queen

Brie&Apples

One thing I really like about Bruno's parents is that their divorce seems very mutual, there is no hint at infadelity or abuse, just 2 people falling out of love. Its so rare for divorce to be seen in that light and I just find it refreshing.

PsychoHelmet

The character talking at the end is one that hasn't been introduced yet. Its not Fugo!

Huerga

In the manga, Fugo didn’t even have that flashback. So in the manga, context-wise, it really comes off like he swore loyalty to the organization, not to Bruno. The original plan was for Fugo to be from the organization from the start.

Jamison Fawkes

I just realized that in Bruno's flashback, the way he emerges from under the bed to kill the first dealer reminds me of his use of Sticky Fingers. A nice detail or maybe a pure total coincidence ?

Double101

I always assumed the boss wanted to kill Trish himself is because he couldn't trust anybody else to do it. Like if he ordered anybody on the hitman team OR on Bruno's team to kill her they would have just said they did it and kept her hidden. For different reasons, but still

gagarin

King Crimson's introduction is really good but even crazier is how well Bucciarati can fight against him considering that King Crimson is an incredibly strong time stand and Bucciarati was chopped nearly in half by it. Also OST goes so crazy for Bruno vs King Crimson as well King Crimson's themes in general. The scene of Bucciarati telling the team about the betrayal is so good too. Abbachio being the first to join Bucciarati and showing he lowkey might be more in love with Bruno than you lol. Mista joining just because he is built like that and he's the goat and he trusts that Bruno will be able to win. Narancia's realization was really powerful and he's such a good little guy. And then there's Fugo. I personally think it really fits his character and I think it works. They could never make me hate you, Fugo.

Abdul’s Anus

mb bro I didn’t think it was a spoiler 😂 imma delete just in case tho

lola

in narancias character file it says that his biggest hero is bruno gah, their relationship is so sweet, bruno's truly like a father figure

You've finally entered the Court of the Crimson King! "But if you witness the pitfalls open up right before your eyes, ergo the future, and choose to avoid them...you will never incur another loss for the rest of your life. You will experience unending pleasure." This is a good peek at how The Boss' mindset works! Notice how he didn't want to fight all of them at once NOT because he was gonna lose? But he says because it would expose his identity? The Boss values anonymity above all else. To him, anonymity IS power. And yes, you have noticed that he appears more as King Crimson while he himself hides behind in his Stand's shadows, another showcase of him valuing being anonymous above all else.

Otaku Steph

MY SENSITIVE HEART CAN ONLY TAKE SO MUUUCCHH

Otaku Steph

He literally seems invincible at his point 😭

Otaku Steph

O THANK GOD LOL I WAS GONNA BE SO PISSED 😭😭

Now we know the bosses stand… KING CRIMSON! I’ve always ranked part 5 in the 4th spot. It just didn’t appeal to me as much as the other ones did. Now i think it’s my 3rd favorite possibly 2nd favorite part. But it hasn’t dethroned Part 4 yet. Fugo… has left the squad. He use to be my favorite you know. The first time I watch the show that is. At the end of the day I can’t hate him for doing it. I CAN DESPISE HIM FUGO YOU COWARD. It is up to the other five to defend Trish and stop the boss.

Otaku Steph

OHHH that makes more sense as to why he sees so much more attached to the idea of the org instead of Bruno. Low key hoping he’ll change his mind tho 😞

Otaku Steph

OOO knowing how clever Araki and DP are, I’d think the former tbh 👀👀

Otaku Steph

Yaaa I think it’s deffo cos he wanted to fully confirm her relation to him AND wanted to FULLY complete the job. Poor Trish 💔

Otaku Steph

YEAH BRUNO HELD HIS OWN THE FOOKIN’ LAD!! 🔥🔥 Naranchia seeing himself in Trish was genuinely so heart warming 🥹🥹 MISTA AND BRUNO WILL FOREVER BE MY GOATS

Otaku Steph

OMG THIS IS SO SWEET I CANT 😭😭😭

Otaku Steph

Damn he’s full on committed to hiding his identity…slightly similar to Kira in that sense 👀 can’t wait to see more of him!!

lola

i feel like the lengths to which he goes to really emphasises his want for anonymity

And this here, people, is why DRUGS ARE SO BADDD and ruin lives. Do not do drugs, y'all. If this is any reminder, do not be like the boss. These backstories are such a refresher; I would have loved to see an Avdol backstory. RIP, our brother. Damn, Bruno is such a good-natured character. Oh my lord, what a beautiful man, a true saint. A true mom Bruno is, and sad that he did not have the chance to have a real childhood at the age of 10, to join a gang and think that his boss and capos were great people, but they too were allowing drugs to be peddled/profiting from it and affecting his city and the lives of other families just like his. and HOLY SHIII, the boss's stand has been revealedddd, and such a frightening theme—they really be killing it in the studio. Such classes with these songs and sound design for King Crimson's ability. Poor Trish, overall I feel for her. He definitely takes the cake as one of anime's worst dads. King Crimson is such a great band indeed, especially 21st Century Schizoid Man. In Kanye's song "Power," it has that sample. Both are equally great songs, but it's crazy what some people will do to keep their identities hidden or keep a low profile, just like our old friend, Kira Yoshikage, doing all these evil deeds in a church. Man really is the devil in human form with no respect for a holy location. TIME abilities are crazy—such a terrifying ability to be able to erase time and see that time you erase to position yourself in the correct spot, but at least it has limitations if you think out of the box, SMART BRUNO, and what a boy our GioGio is. Yep, I cannot blame Fugo for not going, as yeah, if you are not ready for the life of a traitor, it is okay to be a coward, so overall I do not blame him. It just means his resolve is not there compared to the others. All the best to our boys, including Fugo as well. It's crazy on a rewatch and seeing this as an adult as opposed to when I was a teenager back when it came out. It's nice to see it from a different angle, as before I did not like Fugo for not joining, but now I overly can't blame them, as they will now be followed by all the gangsters in Venice, so now instead of just one team gunning them, they are being gunned by all teams. And yeah, the boss is a ruthless son of a gun; he's got so many guys at his disposal, like those ones who cut up and tied up Gelato and Sorbet. RIP to those boys, and also just the ability to do all this while the boss is in complete anonymity is just a crazy and scary feeling, as any one of the people they may come across could be the boss in disguise, and they wouldn't know and would have to check their backs till they hopefully beat him. And let's say they constantly run away since they are weak or whatnot and never find a way; that would be a life of always being on the run. Yay for more JOJOs. Keep up with the sweet analyses, and yay, SUNDAY IS HERE.

Gyro_GoGo_Zeppeli

It wasn't Fugo at the end issuing the orders, dw ;) But as for Fugo, he's to show the more rational outlook of the situation and being the smart guy of the group. Coz, Bruno literally just went in that building and went out saying "Yeah, we're betraying the group". Like they show you what happens to traitors with La Squadra's buddies getting brutally murdered and sent in chunks. And they'll show a bit more of how powerful Passione is as a group that fighting them just basically means a death sentence. And Fugo is somewhat right, in real time, they've only known Trish for like a day or two and all of a sudden they're gonna try to be fugitives.

Fernando Aguja

I think we all need to brace ourselves 🥺

WerruzoSama888

"RESULTS! THE WORLD ONLY REMEMBERS RESULTS!!!" You've come far. This is do or die time

Pendro

Was such a shame we didn't get to see more of Fugo. We did get a light novel about him though so there's something at least.

Derrick C. Shields

From the perspective of someone who always thought the way JoJo's deals with losing a loved one/team member was super interesting, I liked Fugo leaving the team. Death in JoJo's is always so blunt and matter-of-fact, even if it's also emotional, that it never occurred to me someone might just... leave. I'm speaking only about this current part of the series of course, no spoilers for what may or may not happen. And it makes sense for what we know about Fugo's character as well. Fugo has major anger issues, so he believes following your emotions over your logical mind - even if you're morally in the right - is inherently flawed. After all, I'm sure no one would blame Fugo for assaulting the professor considering what he did to him, but that still only got him into trouble. Fugo probably emotionally believes Bruno is right as much as everyone else, but he's spent his life trying NOT to listen to his emotions. :( I could never hate my strawberry boy, love ya buddy. Edit: rewrote my comment because I forgot pressing "enter" without shift just posts the comment. :P

Gabriel Macedo

I know i keep saying things like this but narancia's decidion is really one of my favorite moments of this series Not crying there is bizarrely hard. Can't blame fugo at all. It's sad but he's the voice of reason in this one. I like how the team doesn't hate on him too. It's a completely understandable choice imo. You seem to understand King Crimson already but I'll yap a bit about it just because a lot of people get confused and get mad about it lol. King Crimson is able to "peak" into the future. Specifically the next 10 or so seconds. He then can "erase time". During those 10 erased seconds, King Crimson becomes a spectator. He's effectively removed from the timeline. He can see those 10 or so seconds in real time while nothing else can interact with him. He then can position himself to immediately retaliate. The "drawback" is that since he's just a spectator. He can't interact with anything during those erased seconds either. That's why he has to position himself and prepare an attack instead of doing it while the target is 100% vulnerable. He has to resume time in order to interact with everything else in the world around him. Also, since he sees what happens to him directly, he can't see what'll happen to anything of that range. That's how Bruno was able to use the pillar to escape. King Crimson couldn't see the pillar since it was a few meters away from him. Long ahh comment as always I'm sorry 😭

Gabriel Macedo

Yeah no way he would just believe she's in fact dead without being the one to do it

Gabriel Macedo

"As for why, only Bruno's parents could tell you that" i love that line It really puts divorce as something more than just the black or white "who's wrong and who's right?" Type of narrative most media follows

astralman

Emotionally, there's nothing I can add that's any different from what you and others have said about experiencing these scenes for the first time. . That being said, I had watched JoJo's parts 1-5 in the anime mostly blind(though I knew minor spoilers for part 3) and since part 6 wasn't animated at the time I decided to read the manga from the beginning, since I'd heard about scenes that weren't animated and the art style changing over the course of each part. It's given me an appreciation for both versions. . Due my family, I've grown up listening to a lot of music, most of which was older than me, so I picked up on a lot of JoJo's references, even for stuff I hadn't listened to but had heard mentioned. JoJo's has given me reason go back and listen to a lot of stuff I'd missed before, like Steely Dan and Hal And Oats. . I had never heard of "King Crimson"(the band) before this. When I looked into them I was very surprised. On my own I had been listening to a lot of metal bands, so it was interesting to see that King Crimson was a prog rock band from the late 60's and 70's that helped inspire a lot of what we consider the early metal bands, and it's still amazing and unique in it's own way, just like JoJo's inspired many other manga and yet remains unique and practically uncopiable. . Araki has more recently said that if he were forced to choose he'd say "YES!" (the prog rock band behind "Roundabout", the song used for the credits of season one.) would have to be his favorite band , and that prog rock is his favorite genre. The two bands were peers in their time and both influential, so I think it's a great tribute to King Crimson to use their name for such a thematically important character with such a strong ability. . One of the band members of King Crimson actually heard about it and looked into it, and was happy with it. Stating that the stand's user basically represents everything they had ever spoke out against in their music, and serves as a good demonstration of that kind of evil that exists in the world. There's a piece of trivia about this part's setting that's tied into the band itself, but I'll have to wait a few episodes so you can fully appreciate it. **EDIT**This was the last episode to use that intro. In the second intro there are a few minor spoilers: two character designs, and something that could be interpreted as a plot development.

You finally meet the boss and his stand King Crimson. His power can be explained as “it just works” and if someone asks you to go into further details you can respond with “it just does”

Foam

Why would you spoil that Fugo isn't coming back?

GhostFace

The time cut scene literally give me chills, the way the music cut too hahaha

ikeaapron

Without giving too much away, there was a reason why Araki made Fugo not go with the others. He had other plans for him that I won’t say since it’s a spoiler, but it’s mostly just because Purple Haze is way too overpowered and would make fighting the boss a bit anticlimactic.

i always have to be in the right mood to rewatch these episodes- they make me so emotional😫 trish and bruno’s scene in the elevator is so tender that it really does break my heart. trish is in such an unfair situation, and bruno treats her with such compassion and parental love despite only being 20 himself. they hurt my heart so good!!😭 then, of course, we have all the members and their decisions on whether to follow bruno or not. in that scene, it is abbacchio’s willingness that has always stood out to me. i always knew that he would follow, but his words really are so powerful. in his backstory, he says that he’s never had a place that made him feel at ease, but when stepping onto the boat, he says that the only time he’s ever felt at ease is when he’s with bruno. so sweet!!🥹 narancia in this scene breaks my heart especially. his hesitance is SO understandable considering the fact that all of them are more likely than not to die. he really does have such big feelings, and it is so touching that he sees himself in trish. i always tear up there! and, of course, we have fugo. fugo who’s entire being was reduced to his intellect by his parents and those around him. fugo who’s always fought to hide his emotionally reckless impulses. fugo who’s scared to get too close to others, whether that is because they could hurt him, or he could hurt them. fugo who’s only 16, yet has lived a life filled with so much hurt. fugo is such a special character to me, and i highly doubt that i will ever lose my love for him. he is so complex, and i truly do believe that he is also just as brave as the others. it took bravery to get on that boat, but it also took bravery to not give into his emotions and follow the others. his bravery is different, of course, but it is there nonetheless. his love is there, too, and shows itself in his concern for the group’s safety. he doesn’t follow them because it is the organization that he is loyal to in the end, but over the years, naturally, love has grown in his heart for the other members of passione. he’s angry at them, deems them reckless and stupid, because he knows that they will never know peace again. even if they survive, they’ll have nowhere to turn to; nowhere to live happily. it is his self preservation that doesn’t allow him to follow, but that instinct doesn’t erase the love in his heart. passione will always be his family. as always, i appreciate the commentary and amazing analysis! (i also thank you for not giving fugo too much of a hard time😅). i hope you’re doing well, and i can’t wait for the next reaction ^^

Kosaki

Fugo, you beeetchhh 😂

Luke

Fuck Fugo. All my homies HATE Fugo 😤

BSteppa

his power is not complicated bro why do you have to be all cryptic about it lol

StoriesFromTheAbyss

I was really bummed when I got to this part and saw Fugo really wasn't gonna join them, I really loved his character and his stand, but I'm guessing nobody regrets it more than he did by the end of Part 5 :/
