While this OP is very iffy on spoilers, the changes start happening around Episode 34, so I think watching the OP in Ep 33 before it changes in Ep 34 is the move? Giorno did go to school, the Black Sabbath fight took place at his dorm. Similar to Jotaro in P3 he's just skipping class during all of this I suppose lol

Giorno DOES go to school lol, he lives in a boarding school during the Black Sabbath fight. And the girls who were flirting with him in Episode 1 were schoolgirl classmates. Also, 36:35, yeah in the manga they're clearly close but the anime just adds all these extra flamboyant fujoshi fuel poses for them lol, doesn't help that TsudaKen's voice is like smooth as butter on the ears~~

My favorite thing about jojos is definitely how diverse it is when it comes to like POC and LGBTQ+ characters especially having well written and non stereotypical ones, Tiziano and Squalo are definitely my favorite villains from part 5 as well. Tiziano’s sacrifice always feels so real and really humanizes and makes you feel for them even though they’re villains.

This is one of the best imo. The mindgames they played were awesome. One of the weaker ones would be the one with the mirror + another one that still has to come. The only minor issue is that while it is a really fun and creative fight, it doesnt seems like elite guard worthy imo. That being said, having a stand seems to be something already extremely rare even inside the organization. Still, to have your elite guard have this kind of abilities and not something more versatile and strong all around seems weird to me. Almost every member of the assassination squad has a stronger ability.

Sale and Zucchero, Sorbet and Gelato, Pesci and Prosciutto, Squalo and Tiziano, and others. Many of the Part 5 gang are duos. And sometimes their camraderie, or even something more than camraderie, shines through a lot. The whole of the Execution Squad as well. Their goals may be far more selfish but they're otherwise just the same as Bruno's gang. Underworld dwelling criminals but brothers in arms with incredible conviction in their goals. Also on an unrelated note. Giorno's outfit is supposed to be a school uniform. It's normally depicted as blue and the accessories are like the stylization you see in Josuke and company's outfits in Part 4. But the anime decided to be bold with his colors and it worked way harder than everyone expected. The Black Sabbath fight took place at his school dormitory. So he indeed went to school like a normal kid until his encounter with Bruno.

YAY ! More jojos! The cut from Abbachio calmy sippping his wine to full on punting the guy is so funny... aw Narancia was so cool here, I LOVE the stand cries, osts and sound effects in jojos, they're unparalleled, especially in part 5. I'm excited to see the sounds in the upcoming part 7 anime, apparently even the composers have been hyping them up haha

Aerosmith is really a super strong stand and Narancia really goes all out in fights. For a long range stand it's kind of funny how much Narancia loves getting up close and personals and finishing fights with direct duels. The ending of his fight with Formaggio is still probably one of my favorite scenes from this part. Also, as much as they argue and fight with each other, I think Narancia and Fugo would be a crazy strong duo with some parallels to Prosciutto and Pesci.

Let's gooo, Narancia PLUS ULTRAAA. That is our boy Dekuuu. Squalo and Tiziano are another duo; I hope that in another life they could be allowed to live out their own married life not linked to the mafia. Such a power couple. WOW, they are the most in sync apart from maybe Sorbet and Gelato, but we didn't really get to see their dynamics. But yep, you can tell how much each cares for the other as opposed to associates like Sale and Zucchero or the older/little bro duo of Pesci and Prosciutto. Squalo means shark, and Tiziano is the honorable one of titans. Yep, they got a crazy combo, but Narancia's resolve plus Giorno's combo is stronger; their mental strength is stronger for what they need to do. VOLARE VIA. Have a great weeeeeek

Aerosmith peak. Both the name and the stand. I agree that this group works well together. Seriously like you said they understand the mission, without having to say everything. I’d say this has been in Jojos since part 2 ish. Especially with GOAT Kakyoin with his final emerald splash, but it is more common in this part. Which isn’t a bad thing. Good luck getting through the next episodes (like the next 5 are so action packed) o7.

The variations reflect things that were just revealed, as you might remember from part 4 when Koichi's stand was revealed. So if they're okaying watching the intro from that point then I'll agree with them.

The fact that the manga chapters for this fight originally came out in 1997 in Japan really shows how far ahead of the curve Araki has been within manga this whole time. He was already ahead back in part 2, in 1988, with Lisa Lisa, being a woman teaching the protagonist in a Shonen manga. Though he was limited with what he could do with her, due to editors worrying about the target audience losing interest, her mere existence inspired Yoshiro Togashi to create Master Genkai for Yu Yu Hakusho, where we actually got to see a fully fleshed-out female mentor figure, who actually fights and wins her own battles.

As you've already seen, the competition for best fight in this part is very tight, all of them feel needed for both plot progression and character development and all of them are pretty intense and creative. This is what I mean when I say that I can't bring myself to rank parts, because each part shows some kind of progression in Araki's writing and art showing that he learns more as he goes, while also being ambitious enough to do something new each time.

yeah, this is where, for me, Giorno starts to feel a lil bit over the top. He's 15, freshly new to the mafia life, only working as a airport scammer, no education whatsoever. But he can make serum, knows human anatomy and medical procedures and knows everything that's happening around him. Don't get me wrong, i like part 5, but Giorno doesn't feel that much of a MC when you have the rest of the gang on the same scale and even the Squadra. Specially when we come from part 4 where Josuke is pushed a little bit to the side in a lot of aspects, Rohan is the pivotal character for the Kira plot to advance, Koichi feels more like the hero, Jotaro is more powerful than him, Hayato clutches in on the last hours (hour but looped lol). Feels a little bit too much of a change which, evidently, has the fandom kinda split on part 5's mc

you obviously have the right to feel how you feel about giorno, but he has received an education. the black sabbath fight with koichi takes place at his dorm, and girls from his school flirt with him during the first episode.

that’s fair! it’s a possibility that he learned the information at school, but i highly doubt that’s something we will ever know for sure. the slightest of spoilers below, but perhaps araki just wanted to flex his medical knowledge, as he writes a similar scene in part 9 haha.

He serves the same role Dio did, only for good instead of evil. His biggest strength is his charisma. Giorno arrives and instantly pushes the others beyond their limits. He earns their trust easily and he survives multiple encounters simply because he relies on them.
