Everyone is so damn suspicious in this anime LOL.

The bittersweet feeling of the squad officially reuniting...whilst also mentally preparing for the high chance that most of them will die 🤧

you can use stremio with torrentio add on it's an app you can literally watch anything for free and it has many versions including blue ray, 4k, 1080p, 720p and preloaded subtitles

JeanJean

Hange is not non-binary 😭 At least that's never explicitly stated in the show. I think the person in the comments was just giving you their personal headcannon lmao. To each their own I guess but I thought I'd warn you since it is still important to get the facts right imo 😂

Otaku Steph

thanks jaba! i actually ended using stremio for SBR ep 1, so this works perfectly haha. my internet struggles with it though, so fingers crossed it will be fine going forward

Otaku Steph

FOOKS SAKE NOW IM CONFUSED. so to double check, it's fine to refer to Hange as she/her? you could tell i was STRUGGLING to remember LOL xD

jab

I mean it depends on which torrent you will choose for instance they might be 4gb or 600mb and you can find 1080p blue ray versions of aot for around 600mb

jab

I'm pretty sure isayama said that in one of the interviews it's like really old news

jab

we are getting closer..

Shadow

Nah Erwin’s the goat he just had a foreshadow moment 🤫

JeanJean

Yes it's fine 😂 So, basically, according to the author himself, who got asked about Hange's gender, in principle you can go with anything you want. The kanji used to refer to Hange is always neutral in the manga in japanese, which isn't something that specifically refers to non-binary, it's just one way you have of referring to someone without mentioning the person's gender, and there is no real equivalent in english. It's just that Isayama specifically insists on never referring to Hange with a gendered pronoun, to make things ambiguous and have the reader interpret Hange's gender however they want. That being said, everyone, including all the translators, refers to Hange by "her" and considers Hange to be a woman.

It's always a good day when Steph uploads Attack on Titan 😁 btw did we ever watch the first opening and ending? did I miss that somehow? am I dumb?

Steven Rivera

As someone that was reading the manga as the anime was first airing, a lot of random facts like this stuck to me. For one, yeah. Hange is not non-binary. Just gender ambiguous as Isayama wanted a gender ambiguous person in his story. On top of his very rough draws first chapters, no one could really tell, which helped sell the point. Kinda like Ed from Cowboy Bebop, you just project the gender you interpreted Hange as. That is until the anime came out, basically confirming that Hange is female, and Isayama saying that the anime is basically the final and official canon for his story. The whole thing of her being “non-binary” just comes from the early days of Attack on Titan manga, and the person that told you that interpreting it as that.

Steven Rivera

I suck at articulating myself, so I apologize if this comes off as rude

tarratkard

Hange's gender is left ambiguous in the manga, with the author himself stating its up for interpretation. in the anime, Hange is referred to with she/her pronouns. Most people go off the anime and just refer to Hange with she/her.

Drift3r

"Censored version" on Crunchyroll. Can someone explain this to me? Is UK Crunchyroll censored? If that's the case can't you use a VPN to watch on the US site? Also from what I've read it seems animekai has a non-standard/older translation compared to the official one found on the US Crunchyroll.

Arthur

its almost time

Drift3r

No one is going to sue you if you refer to Hange as she or her.

Yb18184

I think the TV version is just "censored" compared to the bluray version. It has some more/extended scenes I think.

Drift3r

I see. However the animekai version uses a certain word differently when I looked at episode 1 of Season 4. Not that it matters to greatly but I'm used to the Crunchyroll version.

Javier Lasso

There are no genders in the Japanese language. Hajime Isayama has maintained an ambiguous stance regarding Hanji Zoe's gender in the manga, suggesting it is open to the reader's interpretation. Although the anime and some translations use the feminine gender, Isayama has indicated that it is not necessary to assign a specific gender, even linking the character to a gender-neutral song. Hange is, in reality, a woman, a man, or non-binary. Each reader chooses in their own mind, so you can refer to her as you see fit.

Otaku Steph

Ooo ok thanks for clarifying! Appreciate you informing me as I wanna make sure I get these things right and also consider the managaka’s intentions 😌🤝

Otaku Steph

So I’m actually going to film all OPs very soon! Haha dw u haven’t missed anything :))

Otaku Steph

I THINK the bluray version has improved animation and doesn’t censor the blood and gore p much 🤔 some comments before mentioned certain scenes being removed. Also from my understanding, Crunchyroll would have the same censored version anyway, no matter which country I’d be watching from

Otaku Steph

Don’t worry you didn’t come across rude at all! Thank you for clearing things up :))

Kay

Guys try not to post little spoilery hints in the comments. I get that Steph probably wont get what you mean if you're not being specific, but imagine if you inadvertently spoiled something. You would just be ruining her experience and defeating the whole purpose.

Dxn

i really would recommend at the most only doing the first 4 if you really want to watch them but 5 and beyond have very very very significant spoilers especially 6, just be very careful as aot is one of those shows with some insane moments and reveals and missing out on them because you saw it in an opening 3 seasons ahead of you would suck

Derrick C. Shields

Erwin was so hyped about starting an expedition, he transformed into a Naoki Urusawa character at the end there.

Derrick C. Shields

For as long as I've been watching content like this, this is actually the biggest issue concerning spoilers to me. People thinking they're being sly by doing this "iykyk" type shit is silly. That, and people saying "If you think you like X character now, wait until season X!" eliminating any tension for that character's safety until SX.

Plataras

"how many memes were born from episode 15?" "Sorry, forget I asked"

rangga

Jotaro in the early Steel Ball Run expedition: "Advance!"

Ghettospacefish

lowk I was wondering, AOT has some of my favorite ops and eds and ive been so pumped to see your reactions to them, especially the first ed

lola

yes yes yes i agree! i would encourage even just reacting to the respective intros and outros individually whilst watching the show instead of a whole reaction like for jojos because they really add to the whole vibe of each arc, and aren't really spoiler-y when you're watching them with the context cause it's basically just aura farming and flying about LMAO. (jojos was a bit different cause i feel like it's basically impossible to decipher what's going out without any context) but the later intros are obviously based on current events and would probably spoil things that have happened beforehand.

StarTheGunslinger

Did you know that levi and jotaro has the same dub actor

dowdow

Are we gonna get op and ed 1 reactions since they have already switch to op and ed 2?

RogueDM

Hange is only non binary in the anime and is referred to as them but in the anime she’s a woman also she’s pronounced Han like Han Solo and the ge is just g

Your chair keeps making me think you have cat ears lol
