Oooh I really liked this show when it came out. Excited to watch it again with you! 😋

Thibault Thierry

can someone support me ? i still havent watch the reaction and i already know i'll cry

Otaku Steph

I bought a Netflix subscription today just to watch it HAHA FANTASTIC FIRST IMPRESSIONSSSS

The Frog King

I'm assuming you never played the game, but what is cool is that these places and some characters are directly from the game. Like all these spots you can find, even the floating hologram fishes. So if you enjoy this universe, i would highly recommend playing the game, that storyline is great too!

Otaku Steph

I played the game for 30 mins when it FIRST came out - was poorly optimised and my PC almost blew up. I really wanna revisit it once I’m finished with season 1 :))

Alex Jobson

The songs are from the game, including the song on the moon scene. I first tried the game when it dropped in 2020 but it was a buggy mess.. I loved the anime so much when i finished it i started the game again and now its a top 5 game ever for me

Ethan Jacobs

I’m assuming the same that you haven’t played. But to give you a basis of cyberpunk a very prominent theme and one you need context for is that night city lives on without you. There’s no stopping in the city. It’s a city of its own volition. The city is almost alive in itself and will leave you in the dust if you don’t keep up.

Ethan Jacobs

It’s actually really good now. They spent a ton of time optimizing it tho at the downside of it not getting as much content. I have a feeling you’ll want to play it after this watch cause I sure did

Ethan Jacobs

Thousand yard stare everytime I hear stay at your house

choom

Cyberpunk is such a cool (and frightening) genre, thought up in response to 1980's neoliberal capitalism. Ignoring the science fiction level technology, the parallels to our own world has always freaked me out, it feels like it's only a matter of time before our own doctors stop taking the Hippocratic Oath. Nice reaction :)

vaughman!!

I mean, it did had a lot of stuff added like missions, weapons and entire story DLC, so I think it really had a lot of stuff added.

CyberiaLyr0

Cyberpunk is one of the best pieces of media ever, super excited to watch it with your reactions. The game, books and show(s, season 2 soon?) just portray such a horrible society with beautiful messaging and themes. This is also never stated in the show however David is 17 years old and Lucy is roughly 20 years old.

ZeroSkill

Ohhh dear this one will be a rollercoaster, for only 11 episodes, I recommend plenty of tissues.

Ethan J Soto

I quit playing on release too haha Came back two years later and it's a really cool game now after they fixed all the issues

Gray Matters

Choom is definitely versatile like "Mate" So hype to see you pick this up, just in time for season 2 coming in the near future, too! If you played the game would your gameplay be uploaded anywhere?

BadCompany

Cyberpunk let’s play on the way? 👀

pqxs

The song is from the game

Otaku Steph

Yaaas I’m planning on giving it a proper go once I’ve finished s1! I’m the same as you - I tried it on frost release and my PC almost took off. Never went back 😂😂

Otaku Steph

CHOOM!!! WHAT A NAME. It’s quite sad how that’ll likely be a much more common reality 😭 money makes the world go round sigh

Otaku Steph

Yes I’m hoping to be caught up before s2 releases fingers crossed Also, I was wondering how old she was - thanks for specifying!!

Otaku Steph

Oooo thanks for clarifying! YES - gameplay is deffo on the cards. I’m thinking of maybe delving into live-streaming cyberpunk here on Patreon and then cutting it up into different videos mayhaps. I’ll have a think!

Otaku Steph

AH! I have a feeling it was probs a trending song at some point too

lola

Fiction where society is overrun by technology makes me want to run outside and lay in a field of grass LMAO. As a fellow brit, I am glad for its countryside and historical integrity, and as you said, free health care! I hope it stays that way 😭 I enjoy how the most urbanised area nearest to where I live has a medieval castle smack bang in the middle of it…albeit with a mcdonalds across the road from it LMAO

ArFanik

I'm very far behind on your JoJo's and AOT reactions. But I will make sure to keep up to date with this one, as I am really curious how you will react to this show ^^ great reaction as always Steph <3

Tomasz

Hi! I didn't expect you'd find time for Edgerunners so quickly. I saw your reaction on YouTube to their second season. Good luck with the next episodes :} I read your declarations that you intend to play Cyberpunk 2077. I hope that you will actually succeed. I think you'll appreciate the game, as well as how much the anime complements the world building. I took a look at some of your other reactions. It's funny here :)

Alien

Would've been better if you also know the game but it's already too late.

Orapac

Its this damn song again. Also dont worry, sex in cyberpunk still works the old fashioned way, they havent managed to virtualize that one just yet... at least fully.

StoriesFromTheAbyss

The worst part of the world of Cyberpunk is just how not far fetched and exaggerated all the dystopian beats have become. Can't pay for an expensive surgery that your insurance who is in no way qualified to medically decide if it's necessary declines it? Too bad, go die. Can't afford an expensive funeral or cremation service? Here's your loved one in an overpriced nondescript wooden box. Sure the imagery of a scummy clinic or an urn dispensed from a vending machine kick it up a notch but the core elements of the Cyberpunk dystopia are already here. I know it because I've fucking lived it or known others in my life who have. It's not the end of the world, but you can certainly see it from here. On another note, if you end up loving this show I'd highly recommend checking out the music for Let You Down by Dawid Podsiadło, it's made by the same studio who made the anime and is equally heartbreaking.
