WORK CAN'T STOP ME FROM WATCHING THIS THE WHOLE AFTERNOON YEAHHHHHHHHHHH

Maple

HELL YEAHHHHHHHH

SophIsDumb

RAAAAA, RETROSPECTIVE SUCH A PEAK EPISODE

Theo

This is the only anime I’ve watched so I’m probably gonna cancel my subscription after u finish but have u ever thought about reacting to non anime content?

Erik Hink

Even if Mikasa had told him she loved him... alternate scenarios don't exist in Attack on Titan. The past is unchangeable, and the future is set in stone.

dysprosium99

so, after this, you gott to respect Floch’s determination and grit, to protect his motherland and his country. the way he fought and went out, how he went against the jaw, cart the commander of the scouts and still managed to almost shoot down the ship, how he was an integral part of the story as well. he also took his time, to think about possible scenarios, and was clever enough to understand what was happening and what their plan was. absolute S tier character imo. absolute Legend. Rest Easy, Floch. you did well.

Alex Jobson

daz shot armin in the mouth so he couldn’t speak, because he knew that armin could definitely talk them into giving them the flying boat. so good

Alex Jobson

daz was the one saved by ymir and historia, samuel was saved by sasha when he fell off the wall during the colossal titan attack in episode 4. the 104th have known these soldiers for years, it’s so tragic that they had to kill the friends they’ve had for so long

KimDokJa

Right here in this ep they show us how 104 cadeth corps is built differently, how strong they are compared to other survey corps members by being age of only 19, this shows us why everyone truly respect them and why theyre legends above them. Reminder that only 9 of 200 came back alive from that mission in Shiganshina and 7 of them were from 104 cadet corps.

WaZeus

Steph blessing us with 3 episodes 🙏

Ethan Jacobs

I don’t think Erwin would’ve known. People hype up his abilities too much. Hes certainly incredibly talented and smart but he’s still human. He was outsmarted by the Beast Titan and supply lines were cut. I don’t think anyone could’ve prevented this when not even Zeke the man who knew everything about the titans could figure out Erens abilities. It’s interesting to think about but ultimately I don’t think it changes anything

Squidlord

Floch's character shouldn't be admired, he was a raging chud. Good riddance.

Johnny Ocampo

Yes you are right Daz was the one saved by Historian and Ymir on the mountain. Another heartbreaker aspect of his and Samuel’s deaths is that Samuel was who Sasha saved from falling off the wall all the way back in season 1 episode 4 when the Colossal Titan appeared (if you recall Sasha ran down the wall and caught him by shooting her ODM gear and catching him by his foot) so for Connie to have to kill someone his best friend once saved, especially since she is now gone as well, adds another layer to how devastating it was for him to have to do that.

jab

I would rather die

It’s me XDD

thank god Conny and others got to live so they can SUFFER.!!!!!!

dysprosium99

im sorry, i hope u dont confuse admiration with perseverance. what i mean to say is, i strongly condemn his negative actions, obviously, but his intent, perseverance and passion for his work, (even if it is cunning) is respectable. almost as much as Erwin. period.

Brie&Apples

One visual I absolutely love is how the blood changes throughout the series. When fighting titans the blood evaporites almost immediately, showing a kind of purity in their actions. Now that we are mostly fighting people the blood doesn't evaporate, and their bodies are literally stained by their sins.

jab

faze gabi strikes once again

Alex Jobson

it’s been a hell of a ride steph, the last episode/movie is gonna be a fucking good one ❤️😭

Smart Kaboose

This comment is so cringe lmao. Rage bait to the max hahaha

JeanJean

Are we still doing the "I hate Floch" vs "I like Floch" thing? lmao Floch did have his villaineous moments but he he also did try to follow in Erwin's footsteps at the end of the day to save Eldia much like our main cast, and was loyal to Eren, to the point of risking everything. His dislikeable attitude was fueled by the resentment he held for his ennemies, which included the military police and the old guard that was leading Eldia to its defeat. As much as he did seem to revel in it at some points, his actions weren't necessarily different from what Hange and the others did to the Reiss government.

Jennywocky

Yup to both of those -- this scene is so heartbreaking, especially because if one examines how it plays out, Daz and Samuel were restraining their own actions, by only shooting Armin (who could heal) and not shooting Connie, then pleading to understand why their friends had seemingly turned on them... and as Connie says, they are STILL friends, that never changed... but now there just seemed to be no other options due to the necessity of saving the flying boat. I don't know if there were other options at that moment, and it breaks Connie's heart to do what he did. Stopping Eren will come at terrible cost, but it seems letting him proceed is even worse.

Jennywocky

God, what a money shot of Reiner and Annie crossing behind Floch and transforming into titans, dropping to the ground, and then Annie sprinting off....! We realize we've never actually seen Annie and Reiner fight together as titans before, right? Annie was the only one running around as a Titan in S1 after the walls were breached (by Bertholdt and Reiner, not Annie), and by the time the Colossal and Armored Titans appeared again, Annie was locked in her shell. So yeah, here we go...!!

Kruger

Eren doesn't look back and even if he did - he can only Keep Moving Foward....

Jay rellim

41:37 FLOCH HATER REGRETTABLY HAS DOKI-DOKI MOMENT FOR FLOCH hahah

Jay rellim

44:24 i know conny was like top 10 cadet in his training but holy fuck they gave him baby levi treatment wowwwwww 48:00 WTF I FORGOT FLOCH GOT ACTUAL LEVI TREATMENT WOWWW 49:20 YOOOO she had no reason to do that, the aura farming is CRAZYYYYYY this episode is so peak wtf

Jennywocky

For a moment there, Floch was going for MC aura and forgot he's just a side character lol. Damn, Floch, I might not like you much, but you're punching this story up nicely. Of course, Deadeye Gabi takes him down... The whole ending with Keith and McGath was just so touching. We know Keith wanted to feel like someone important, decided he wasn't and resigned himself to disappointment, but from that he comes back here to help his students without a thought about his importance and ends up being VITALLY important. Meanwhile, McGath has realized what he really valued this whole time and does what he has to in order to ensure the survival of "his kids." I also really like that when they finally share their names, neither one mentions a rank (although just before this, Pieck reminds Gabi that McGath is now a General) -- they are just two men, no titles, men who regret much of what they've done in life, and now they are spending their own lives to ensure their kids have a fighting chance to stop the genocide. In the process, they both prove themselves worthy of the aspirations they'd given up.

RisePhx

I can’t help but lol when people get triggered by people praising Floch. I don’t like the guy myself but you can’t deny he had a legendary season 4 run. Honestly to the point that it was pretty unrealistic the Ackerman like run he went on towards the end. Such a fun character though

Jennywocky

I'm not really sure what Erwin would have done, honestly. He was pretty strategic against titans (he knew THAT war and was ruthless), but would he have nuked the port of Liberio, full of human civilians, as Armin chose? Or could he have just sidelined the entire Liberio raid so things never got that far? I don't know either, based on what we learn in the final episode before the last film(s).

Naiyt

Love the Keith x Magath team up. So unexpected, but somehow perfect.

Alex P

Yeah, he is a bit of a power tripping asshole who enjoyed oppressing Keith, Volunteers, Hange and Azumabitos way too much, he was also too eager to kill civilians in S4E6, which why many people actively hate him, but he is also the scared boy who went onto a Erwin’s death charge during his FIRST mission, dealt with survivors guilt, then dedicated himself to protecting his home, became a competent and intelligent leader and he DID put his money where his mouth is, he chose to put his life on the line for the sake of protecting the island against multiple titans and elite scout veterans. Amazing character development, can’t help but love him as a character, even though he is deliberately made easy to hate so that he can be better used as antagonistic force. IMO people blindly hating on him have a very simplistic view and ignore that like many others in this show - he is a well written and complex character

Jennywocky

So if Historia had eaten Eren (the Founding Titan) way back when, she would have fallen under the Peace Oath of the king, so she wouldn't get any choice in the matter at that point. The status quo would have continued until Marley came to burn down the island. This might have taken longer, since Willy's speech centered around how Eren was not subject to the Peace Oath (whereas Historia still would have been), so in that case with Eren Marley needed to quickly destroy the island before he could trigger the Rumbling. As always with AoT, there are new revelations to be had even in the final 2-3 hours of the story that will again shed light on all the speculations of alternate solutions that Eren hadn't tried and why maybe things went the way they did. You just never know all the truth until the show ends lol! But it does feel like a big game of "What If?" sometimes -- we only know what happened and what was chosen, everything else is a big question mark. I really did appreciate the small insight into Eren's mind, and that he ISN'T heartless or oblivious to the pain his choices will cause or the obvious fact that Mikasa actually loves him. There's a lot more going on in his head and heart than we've seen this season, because the show purposefully kept his motivations opaque. Who really knows what lurks within the human heart? We just know that with each revelation, he felt like he just needed to "keep moving forward." Gosh I really thought Sasha here looked like a grown Gabi. It was really nice to see all the old gang together, and especially that celebration with the refugee camp. It was like the last happy moment with all of our characters, since Eren shortly thereafter vanished to plan his raid of Liberio. They all really did love each other, Eren included, which makes it all feeling more sad. Based on a lot of your ideas and what you've been thinking, I think you'll be happy at story's end at least in how so many things go down. I will just say I found the ending extremely fulfilling with a lot of the arcs (although for context, I did not watch this show until it was completed -- so I binged it all in two weeks -- which means I didn't have a lot of theory crafting and unmet expectations, etc., nor did I read the manga ending that was changed and improved a bit for the anime. I could just accept the story at face value.)

moonknight

That's the only thing Floch did, because before this, in Liberio he did nothing other than blowing up a building full of civilians, he then let Hange escape with Levi, got his men killed against the Cart Titan and spent the whole fight hiding outside the wall only for him to be crushed when the hardening was undone.

Drift3r

Are you doing the two special episodes or the theatrical movie release format? I personally would recommend the theatrical movie release format simply because it includes one extra post-end credit scene. You see an image of that scene when Eren's mind is seeing images of his past as he is heading into the Coordinate plane after getting his head blown off. P.S. If Historia had eaten Eren she would of simple been shackled by King Fritz's vow of pacifism. Essentially she'd of done nothing and allowed the Eldians to be exterminated by the world at large.

Theophrastus Bombast

That vile creature doesn't even deserve a name. Admire him? He protected nothing. He destroyed his motherland in a misguided effort to protect it. He was a smallminded moron on a powertrip. A cruel child, just like Eren.

Kedarsh Kaushik

nah eren just making excuses to be sigma male. he never liked mikasa

Gabriel Anctil

I feel like a good show to watch after Attack on Titan would be Code Geass if she never saw it. There are a lot of similarities between the two.

Kedarsh Kaushik

historia couldve never done the rumbling because of the vow renouncing war

Steven Rivera

So many people in your replies with such a lack of understanding and simplicity cannot appreciate Flock’s nuance. Admiring how is character turned out does not mean you like HIM or his actions. I remember reading the manga as it was coming out and I absolutely hated Floch, after the manga finished, and I had time to digest Floch’s character alongside Season 4 airing, I cam to understand just how great of a character he turned out to be. (Great =/= Good person by the way) Dude had a legendary run in season 4 and is one of the most memorable aspects of it. His actions are vile, but you have to also understand why he turned out the way he did, which if you pay attention to his speech at the end of Season 3, its reallly easy to make the pieces fit. “Humanity needs a devil to survive” and to him, Erwin was that devil. Then during the attack on Liberio, he saw Eren as that devil, only for him to eventually become the devil himself. And this is just an extreme oversimplification of it. Its completely normal and reasonable for you to not like him. We are not supposed to like him because of what he does. But what we can appreciate is his character arc. Calling him a “chud” is a huge disservice to the character and Hayime Isayama simply because you dont like evil characters behaving evily.

Juanpa_20

I swear always see you commenting about either eren or flock Jesus Christ your a man child crying and seeking validation for your shi takes, you can admire how flock’s character progression goes from a cheesy side character to a monster of antagonist same goes for eren I don’t even agree what there doing and can say without of a doubt that there evil but jesus just seeing people like you just crying and pointing out and saying uh I hate the big bad guy, “he’s vile monster who shouldn’t be named” like damn bro acting like dude killed your family 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Juanpa_20

Larping at its finest lol did you watch the ending lol

Luis Daniel

wasn't a big fan of floch but i loved the impact erwin left on him. He was a complete loser before that perfect game episode.

Maz

the hate on floch is so forced icl

Degenerick

mikasa fumbled the bag. family-zoning eren

Juanpa_20

Jesus the blue ray version looks so fucking beautiful 😭

Juanpa_20

I can understand why people hate him but blindly hating him and ignoring what he represents in the story and how good his character transcends into antagonist and eren as well is so beautifully written, that’s why I despise little virtue signaling babies who can’t just recognize how good the writing is 🤦‍♂️ like no shit he isn’t supposed to be admired bro is literally a facist, the story itself is representation of anti war and what happens when cycle of revenge continues , we’re humanity takes each other out to the point of extinction

forthewolfx

I'm gonna be soo sad when AoT is over 😭

Smart Kaboose

I'm going to save all my thoughts for the last part/parts. I hope you choose to watch the movie!!

MJ

These next few episodes are gonna be crazy 😭

N

Historia can't use the founding power regardless because of the vow renouncing war.

N

Can't say much about Eren yet, but Mikasa is right. Eren never change.

Dharmendra Negi

I wish there were four more seasons of this show just so I could watch your reactions on it. Will miss the moments of anticipation and exhilaration I felt just by watching your notification pop up on my screen 😭

Eugene Conner

Small detail, but di you happen to realize that Hange is wearing a "Man's" suit?

Victor

now that you've seen Eren's recent form you should take a quick look at the moment when Historia gave the necklace to Eren in S3

Steven Rivera

If you weren’t aware Steph! The lyrics for the song that begins when the Titans reach Marley translate to: “Is this the destroyer or the creator? With the blaze of hatred we brandish our swords Is this our fate or our will? We will fight until This hot wind takes away our wings” Pretty amazing considering this song has been playing since Season 1!

lola

the scene of zeke and eren discussing the ackermann tendencies makes me kinda sad for zeke because the way he spoke about mikasa being in love with eren, and then said “so what’ll you say back to her?” makes it seem like he was under the impression that he and eren had a close, brotherly bond—enough to joke and talk abt things as wholesome as love 🥲 but eren lowkey dgaf. god zeke loved him so much 🙁🙁💔

Eliminated

Wanted to just add some things about Keith, I think his character ending is one of the best for a character who is only important within the first season, within the first couple of episodes. Keith’s final scene is done beautifully. A lot people say “But no one will know he sacrificed himself for the world” but that’s actually perfect for him. If you remember way back in S1, it had been mentioned that Keith Shadis was the 12th Commander of the Survey Corps and handed that position to Erwin. In his youth he was obsessed with fame, had a huge ego, and thought himself to be "special". More gifted than the others in a sense. This final scene shows you this entire transformation even if you had no idea about his backstory. For a character so far separated from the main cast, he's one of my favorites.

choom

yoooo before you finish the final episodes I really suggest reacting to the "Attack on Titan suite" Project emU video. It's an absolute experience from start to finish.

Ethan Jacobs

I can’t give any spoilers but I will say nothing in Attack on Titan can be taken at face value. There’s always hidden motives behind everyone so sometimes it’s better to question everyone even the ones you think are figured out. 🤭

Otaku Steph

Ye u can’t help but commend his determination. Mans went out with a bang for sure. Overall, he played his role of being the most detestable villain ive come across very damn well 😌

Otaku Steph

GOD HE KNEW THEM SO WELL I CANT 😭💔

Otaku Steph

Beautiful but heartbreaking observation 🥹 the beginning of AOT was much simpler times sigh

Otaku Steph

REAL AND TRUE JAY I WONT LIE TO YOU LMFAAOOO

Otaku Steph

100% agreed. Also the way he fought to the very end was emulating Erwin indeed

Otaku Steph

AHHHH NO JOHNNY NO 😭 also ye when Samuel quoted Sasha’s meat promise I couldn’t FOOKIN take it.

Otaku Steph

LMFAO she choked when it mattered most 😭💀

Otaku Steph

Frickin SAME! It’s been such a pleasure to nerd out with all of u about it 🥺🥺

Otaku Steph

YESSSS Zeke loved Eren even when he betrayed him, assuming he could save/help 😭

Danny Nguyen

You made a great point at the end. You said Eren never allowed the government of Paradis to have a chance to speak for themselves. He took it upon himself to take actions. But remember back then when the Female Titan was attacking Levi's Squad in those woods. Watch those episodes again. He put his trust in them, allowing them to fight for him. And they all got murdered because of it. Levi even told him "I never know what's right, just do whatever I regret the least, but either way no one knows how it will turn out". If you re watch those episodes now it'll hit supremely different. He gave it a shot back then and now he realizes he must be the one to bear the burden.

Panic

i think there's only one side when mentioning traitors tbh. the jaegerists stood on business with erin and took the rumbling at face value which everyone was on board with before

Ideos

1:11:30 It reminds me of a movie about Auschwitz I watched many years ago "God on Trial". There the Jews (from whom Eldians are somewhat inspired) while waiting for execution by the Nazis, discuss why God has abandoned them. One Jewish guy at the end, after many instances of God's cruelty to mankind are mentioned, concludes "God was never good, he was just on our side".

Alien

When is the final final final episode?

bkiyrfbh

In season 1, it emphasizes on building up how Eren makes decisions. Although Levi, who is very wise in my pov, always reminds that "you cannot know the result", Eren still keeps thinking "I should have done otherwise" after he fails in his decisions. And now in the season 4, Isayama pushes him exactly to what he wants: "Now you are able to know every results of your every choices, do you dare to make decisions?". He must choose, learn that he is not supposed to know the result, and take responsibility for his choice. Just like Paul Atreides in Dune, knowing the future is nothing but a curse. This is a fcking slap straight to the face of anyone who looks at an event already happening and blabs "I would have done different if I were you".

Orapac

Daz was the one Historia saved, and Samuel is the one Sasha saved from falling off the wall in S1 when the Colossal Titan showed up at Trost as they were cleaning the cannons.

SD

how you dont hate annie the one enjoying killing, who kill the most of people within the walls and still talking trash like she s always right with no regrets

Mystery User

That tear on Eren’s face to me: It was just Eren being sad that he’s going to end those people’s lives.
