Another Announcement (Patreon)

I'll start first with myself.

So, I didn't get my infected wisdom tooth extracted. Apparently, I wasn't in the condition for it when I arrived at the dentist or something, and he basically told me to come back next week after taking antibiotics and pain meds he prescribed. To be fair, I came there basically on a bit of a miserable status, half asleep, and basically starving (because I couldn't eat). So I suppose he thought I'd be too weak for the extraction.

I personally protest in the strongest possible terms that I've been unfairly marked as a weakling, but alas, it is what it is.

Luckily, the pain meds are starting to work now. I've managed to get it down to a dull ache, I'm finally getting sleep and food, and things are on the up and up for me. As such, work has continued for the past few days, but we had a lot to do with 43. In fact, while editing it, we ended up in a bit of a rewrite loop, and we had to rework chapter 42 as well to improve it and basically make the pieces fit correctly with chapter 43 and the wider story.

So, with chapter 42 now edited/remade, I now updated the original post of chapter 42 with its newer version, so you can read that for now instead. It's much more streamlined and improved, and we changed the tactics used there so Lucille actually makes use of her strengths (artificial spirits, her familiar) instead of it being kind of a generic one-on-one duel. Personally, I think this is much better and fits her character more.

As for 43, I'm finishing another round of rewrites for its opening scene, and hopefully my co-author will find this new version satisfactory, and I can upload it tomorrow and thus move on to 44, because I really want to get that out on the usual Friday schedule. Rest assured, we're trying our best to get through these delays, all while maintaining quality.
