Sneak Peek – Special Case (Patreon)

Alright fellas, this one’s going out to both the Giga and Medium tiers because it’s more of an explanation than a proper sneak peek. I’ll try to post something exclusive for the Giga! tier next week to make up for it. My bad, guys 😋I thought I was gonna drop the new build today… but there are still some minor bugs I want to clear up before release. I ended up a little late on the update deadline I gave myself because I got a ton of feedback I just couldn’t ignore. This was the first time I showed the game to anyone (and a lot of people at that), so of course some stuff needed tweaking.

First and most importantly, the battle system got a full-on revamp. I’m feeling way better about it now, and I think you guys will too.

The home screen also got a facelift for the main character, and I split the old Status screen into two: a Love Interest screen and a new Status screen to fit the new battle mechanics.

And of course, I’ve packed in as much new content as I could on top of all that.

The plan is to post the update next Saturday. I’ll probably finish before then, but I’m giving myself that extra time so I don’t miss another deadline.

*Ah, for those in the Medium tier who didn’t see the trailer post last week, I changed the name of the game to Dane. I never liked Nikiv, and I think Dane is easier to remember. I’m just waiting for them to approve the game’s Steam page so I can confirm and update the name everywhere.As always, thanks for your support!
