I'm a very social person and thrive in collaborative group situations. Being separated and isolated away from people has not been real good for the ole mind and body of Lloyd. What's helped is that I have been turning to writing music a lot. This song is easily the most relevant and hopefully communicates the combination of lunacy, captivity as well as the remote connection that I been feeling these past weeks. I really couldn't do much else until I got it out there. Things were a little slower seeing as though I had to run with a skeleton crew (i.e. just me) on the making of it but I really enjoyed the process and learned a ton. I did get to team back up with Choco on this one and man did that feel great. Shout out to him on always making these songs sound authentic and real. As always, but I think especially on this one, huge shout out to my wife and lockdown partner Josie. We been going through this whole thing together so she hadda make it in the video. I hope this one brings you a lil something you can bang in your speakers until we all get through this. -eL Beat produced by - Tone Jonez - http://tonejonez.com Mixed by Choco Reynoso Special Thanks to: Dr. Josie Ahlquist - http://josieahlquist.com Parker, Luna & Isabelle Lyrics: LOCKDOWN We’re not even in jail LOCKDOWN People not feeling well LOCKDOWN They been gasping for air LOCKDOWN Out of breath over here LOCKDOWN We’re not even in jail LOCKDOWN People not feeling well LOCKDOWN They been gasping for air LOCKDOWN Out of breath over here Same socks Same set of shoes Same bath water used Same ass prints on the couch cushion Same evening edition on the television Same discussion in the kitchen Walls close in on the oxygen doors will never be unlocked again Amazon keeps knocking them Parker’s blind so he barks at them Whether twitter your kid or your newsletter whatever the story’s getting worse before it gets better everywhere the streets are getting deader and deader but the line for my gun takes forever Grandma took a header in the market lost that like a guitar pick newsflash about as old as it gets you know someone’s getting rich off this shit bet (hook) Ayyy…I love my house Ayyy….I can’t come out shit Peepholes been popular We be gawking at the dude dropping off what you’re shopping for Just me and the wifey and the two dogs and the cat and the wifi Eh!
