We have got a brand new 'Most Wanted' character that we want to get your opinions on.

This time we want to explore 'SITTING BULL' who was probably the most well known Native American leader. He famously defeated Lt. Colonel Custer at the Battle of the Little Bighorn.

You can post your ideas for opponents in the comments below, or post & discuss them in the '#matchup-ideas' channel on the Discord or email them to: erbpatreon@gmail.com

Deadline for your ideas is 5pm PT on Sunday July 12th.

We will then discuss all the potential opponents and select our favorite five ideas. Next week we will create two polls (one on Patreon and one on YouTube) and see which match-up excite people the most. We look forward to seeing what you come up with.

======

In the last round of "Most Wanted" we asked you to vote on potential opponents for Queen Elizabeth I. On Patreon it was pretty close between Nefertiti with 28% and King Tut with 25% of the vote. Over on the separate YouTube community poll King Tut dominated the poll with 35% of the votes with Maleficent, Nefertiti and Queen Latifah all in joint 2nd place on 18%.

It was an interesting result with the two Egyptian characters dominating the results. King Tut is certainly a name that people recognise. It's just whether the boy king has enough material considering he died whilst a teenager. But we need to look into it as he is one character that often crops up in suggestions. Equally Nefertiti polled strongly so we're gonna also read more about her for sure.

But, lets turn to Sitting Bull now. Who do you think he should face?

Why?

It made me laugh, hearing the song lyrics "When I move, you move." "Stand up" "Move, bitch, get out the way," "Rollout," "Act a Fool." Many of his songs are very action oriented. I know it might not make for a very controversial battle, but it was kind of a light hearted idea.

I'm going far out, but what about Mace Windu? Each being one the most regarded of their respective groups, and both killed because of fear. Windu was a leading member of the mystical (to the populace) Jedi Order. Sitting Bull was a leading member of the Suoix/Native American Coalition, and venerated as an almost mystical figure among the whites of that time. Anakin basically killed Windu out of fear of losing a way to save the ones he loved. Sitting Bull was killed by officers who feared he would join in the Ghost Dance, something the United States citizens feared at the time. There's more to it, but you can also say this was drawing flimsy similarities. Still, I find weird matchups to be more interesting, as it makes people wonder "now how are these two relatable in a sense to a rap battle? how will the team make this work?"

I can think of a few people, but there's a fun one that I think would be neat to see paired up. Orson Welles - hear me out, now. Both received a lot of praise in their youth from their "tribes" (Welles in Hollywood, Bull with the Lakota), both are famous for their involvement with things involving "Rosebud" (Citizen Kane, Battle of the Rosebud), both were involved in theatrical performances (Kane on stage, Bull in Buffalo Bill's wild west show), both are linked to stories of lots of death and panic (Wounded Knee, War of the Worlds), renowned for their battles (Battle of Little Bighorn and Welles' direction of The Battle of Shrewsbury in Chimes At Midnight inspired Saving Private Ryan), both dealed with betrayal (the tribes betrayed by the government, betrayal is a huge theme in Welles movies), both tended to piss off politicians...I think it'd be a great comparison.

Sitting Bull vs ... - Pancho Villa (have heard it mentioned in discord & I like it) - Theseus (greek myth hero who defeated the Minotaur, and other correlations too) - Sam Patch (old-school daredevil known as the NJ Jumper)

Michael Johnson

A little too one sided. It's basically just going to be the story of the slaughter of Native Americans instead of an interesting, even rap battle.

Bull Moose (Teddy Rosevelt) or Crash (Bull Durham) Michael Jordan (Chicago Bulls) or Tito Santana (Wrestler, "The Matador")

Louis Riel would be a good one! He’s a contemporary of Sitting Bull and fought for the same cause in Canada, but got executed 5 years before him. He was also a weirdo that thought he was a prophet sent from god. Interesting guy, all in all.

Bull Shannon from NightCourt?

Sitting Bull already kicked his butt at Little Bighorn.

Personally I like Pancho Villa or Malcolm X
