Hola! We have seven matchups, all submitted by patrons in the latest round of MakeThisBattle, that we'd like you to vote on just to see what you all think about them. 

The five ideas that receive the most votes on this Patreon poll will go on to a YouTube Community page poll next week to see what the wider fanbase thinks about them.

Chaplin vs Sandler I feel is the only one where most people know about both, while I love learning through erb, sometimes this is better

I definitely get the appeal! Sophisticated silent comedy, vs loud, shrill, man-child comedy 😜 But feel like it ought to be Charlie Chaplin vs Jim “The-most-annoying-sound-in-the-world” Carrey.

I think Shelly vs Curie could be a great battle, considering their opposite worldviews, Curie being willing to take risks for the sake of science, and Shelly writing a cautionary tale with the moral of NOT taking risks in the name of science.

I still think either Boudica or Hannibal Barca would be a better match for George Patton.

I thought about Chaplin vs Carrey, but Sandler still has a really big following, whereas I feel like Jim lost some steam (aside from Sonic). It's a shame because Carrey vs Chaplin lines up well too. Either of them have the lineup I liked: comedic stars that originated from different mediums (vaudeville for Chaplin, TV and standup for Sandler and Carrey), both rocketed to fame (Keystone Cops for CC, SNL and Living Color for JC and AS), they also took swings at serious work. I think Lloyd for Adam would be great and Pete as Chaplin would be a hell of a show, too :)

When you describe it like THAT, the battle makes sense. I was hoping it would be two authors going at it (Shelley vs Beatrix Potter, or Jane Austen)

Definitely. I suggested Hannibal Barca vs Eisenhower, Patton or General Sherman a whil back. I gotta get in on the next Rate My Battle. I posted some good ones I think a while back, wrote lyrics for some of them too.
