this is in my top 10 fav underrated sequels,it’s so good and the music and the action with video game elements stuff and also good timing with this since Keanu is going to be voicing Shadow in the 3rd Sonic movie,that cake part has been in my mind for a while,the french guy is funny,and that highway scene and the brawl fights are the highlights and it became an influence on that Matrix unreal demo,this movie made parodies and inspirations upon movies,the 3rd movie is my least fav,Morpheus with a samurai sword is so cool,I watched this movie multiple times on the TNT Channel and on youtube, and on DVD and now I own the blu-ray trilogy of the matrix,the zion stuff is pretty boring,dirty and messy I didn’t care about the politics but that rave scene with bumbing techno music saves it,it’s probably one of fav music scores,I remember the dvd menus showing parts of the menu to get you hype both discs,that highway chase with the motorcycle driving backwards gives me anxiety but still cool,that architect scene still confuses me and left my mind wondering and the Neos in tv saying random stuff is funny lol,scary movie 3 made fun of that.

I was a movie theater projectionist when this movie came out. The only film I ever accidentally spliced in a reel backwards. Was so funny to cut from some talking scene to backwards kung fu. Then I had to run upstairs and fix it. Looking at the dates, maybe it was actually Revolutions. Crazy that these sequels came out just 6 months apart in 2003. But we gotta wait 2+ years for Fast & Furious X-2? lol

Gotta be honest, this was quite a bit worse than I remembered lol. The action scenes were pretty sweet, but the spaces in between were tough to make it through. I thought the cave orgy scene was in the third one but maybe there are more than one.... This movie over complicates things so much and kinda makes following the plot just tedious and annoying. Something that really lowers the enjoyment on this and others in the matrix series is that the fights end up feeling pointless since the vast majority of them end with both parties running away. The first one felt a little more tense with Neo being underpowered, but in the sequels there's a real hollow feeling to the fights with them just slapping each other around without a genuine winner or loser. The ending of the first movie showed/implied that Neo could actually kill the agents, but this movie just completely takes that away and makes the fights even more weightless. Fights start feeling like a way to fill time instead of an actual crucial and important moment in the story.

Society! Society! Society! :) Or pretty much anything with special effects from "Screaming Mad" George. He did the effects for Big Trouble in Little China, Nightmare on Elm Street 3 and 4, and Predator.

Beverly Hills Cop is excellent. The sequel is decent but the 3rd is pretty crappy. The first two would be great movie commentary films. Banging soundtracks and weird, 80s boobs
