Following up the epic John Woo classic featuring JCVD... HARD TARGET. We decided to check out another action classic HARD BOILED featuring Chow Yun-Fat and it was EXPLOSIVE! The plot doesn't make any sense but the body count is through the roof. Grab your baby and jump dive right into this cult classic. Let us know if there are any other John Woo movies we should check out or any other campy action that's right up our ally! Enjoy!

ATOMIC CHORIZO

Isn't there a john woo video game? I think it's called bullet proof.

jaboodydubs

We updated it... Think we used the TOTAL DVD run time on accident.

Will See

It's called Stranglehold and it's actually a sequel to this movie.

Will See

lol I just started and Lew mentions the game as soon he sees Chow Yun-Fat

Xynix

Fartooloud

Oliver Mayo

A.W.O.L is a is a great shout for what you boys want. Top Van Damn action. In tight leotards

Str8Hype

Is great watching Hard Target before this. Didn't know he used the chrome shotgun and the penis gun lol for both films until just now. John Woo pulled the lighter trick to the shirt pocket for both films as well. He used the flask for Hard Target though. Some great references.

chivy

Actually your first Chow Yun-Fat movie is technically Dragonball Evolution lol

Str8Hype

Oh yeah, i donated that DVD, that was ages ago lol. What a trip.

this is easily my #1 fav John Woo movie, great action, funny english dubbing, confusing story logic thrown out the window as John woo said lol,I can tell there’s alot influences to video games american movies and sound effects and that one take hallway scene before John Wick,it’s like if John woo made a counter strike game and a gta game and he made a game called stranglehold which is a sequel to the original,my dad got me that game and it’s really good and I was 13 when I played that, that english dubbing of chow yun saying: bullll shhiittt is hilarious lol,and that allen guy is the villain from Shang chi that is so cool

Mecha-Machine King

So glad you guys enjoyed it, I could watch this movie a hundred times and never get tired of it. Besides The Killer, A Better Tomorrow is good but is also very double-triple-cross cops and gangsters heavy. I also have to mention John Woo directed a made for TV movie starring Dolph Lundgren called Blackjack, that doubled as kind of a weird TV pilot. He's a bodyguard for hire who takes a flashbang to the face that makes him afraid of the color white so he wears sunglasses all the time, and he throws playing cards at people. It's bananas.

ag

Damn you for making me replay the "baby dicks" scene so much. im on a list probably now... "AUGHH"-baby

Victor

yall gotta see the raid redemption 10/10

Paineinyourblank

I was just about to comment about Raid Redemption (2011) Excellent action and its streaming on Netflix

Hank Greenburg

The action and camera work was awesome but man the story was all over the place. It was like a poorly written version of The Departed. Also Chow Yun-Fat looks like the asian version of David Tennant which kept throwing me off lol

Lamont Cranston

The departed is a remake of a Chinese movie called Infernal Affairs.

deeno

When Jaboody watches PEAK but doesn’t know they’re watching PEAK lol
